I can’t decide whether space engineers’ goofy destruction physics make these better or not… on one hand, watching these mechs just crumple at what looks like the slightest touch is great, on the other hand, making it so things were a bit more durable would be nice

A few sections of heavy armor could increase survivability, but It would probably mess up the balance of the mechs

SE really needs to have impact weapon parts. Battles like this would be a lot more interesting with weapons that don't shatter the moment they hit.

​@@Judicial78opponent would just turn off or delete their own artificial mass. Shield would work better as a projection with welded blocks automatically repairing it. Mech would have to do the work blocking damage manually, but any damage shield takes would be auto-healed.

Love it. Drills are immune to impact damage. Wheels don't allow the damage to flow to adjacent blocks. So you can use drills on wheels as blade edges and armour/shield panels.

Turn HUD off, use a third person as cameraman, record it from each player's view point plus the cameraman, this way you can even accelarate or slow down the footage without it looking bad. Afterwards, you can create arenas, such as natural (overworld), underground (has ceiling, could be hard to maneuver), city (overworld+blocks) large ship (inside or outside, simulating an invasion), asteroid/moon surface (different gravity/rough terrain). You have struck gold!
