So design a ship that drops the mining rig by parachute. You could fly over seeding an area. Like giant mining lawn darts. :)

For the ice derrick, since the AI is so complex, I'd suggest maybe making one with non-programmed timers, and then go into creative, and delete the survival-built one you just did, and paste in the blueprinted one with the valid AI settings, using the exact same blueprint. I realize that you're avoiding copy/paste to prevent 'free' resources from being available, but if you do my suggestion, the net result will be as if you never used creative in the first place. There will still be the same number of resources on the map in the end, and I'm pretty sure that's what you're worried about.

That is exactly the method that I decided on in the next episode. Made the derrick with a blueprint and then deleted and replaced. Great minds think alike! :)

I realize that they're pretty old, but I still would like to get your opinion on them. Be warned, though, that they are only powered by reactors. Ive always put an outpost on Europa, and never a small one either... Once i get there im usually there awhile lol. The first thing i do is create a small giant square, connect my giant ship to it. then i scout out platinum, and get it going then ill convert the giant building into a ice mining building that stores hydrogen (usually 10 o2 generators and 20 tanks.) then ill get a drone setup to start connecting and gathering from outposts, starting with the plat one i have put in. All my outposts, for obvious reasons.. discard the ice LOL

Add a connecting series of armour blocks from the Timer Block cluster to the various parts of the Derrick. Blueprint that then you can project & build the whole thing and just cut the excess parts off when it's built.

with subgrids and rotors, just put blocks between the storage and the main body joining it and making the rotor not part of the subgrid until you remove the block reverting it back

Bought the game due to your video`s, now i blame you sir! You make it look soo easy, and it`s not, it makes one plan ahead or lose a lot of time, it`s another mindset, i like it. But i can only dream of getting your operational speed, love the vids mate, please keep uploading them.

Mr Jay White haven’t had anything blow up from docking, but I have seen how a ships thrusters will spaz out when docking because their gyros are fighting, so I just turn inertial dampeners off and turn off the docked ships gyros and that has fixed it.

2:05 Actually, Phobos and Deimos are just captured asteroids. They don't have an atmosphere. And Europa is the round object, but don't have atmosphere neither

i guess with sub grids you could attach merge blocks or connectors between grids? and when you blueprint it and build it you can remove the merge blocks/connectors, I'm sure you already know about that little work around or i guess plain ol light armor blocks will work too.

Just a quick question. Is there a way to program the shields to on come on when enemies are within weapons range? Could save you loads of hydrogen in the long run.

hi kana, there are a lot of drill rig scrips on the workshop, I recommend to use them instead, since with this you would have to assemble it part by part, since projectors can’t print subgrids, and even then there is no guarantee that the timers will recognise the parts, and it is also not expendable. With scripts it is very easy to set up, and is expendable. The build you showed, is more a proof of concept, or an engineering challenge, but is isn’t practical.

I am glad you mentioned that the ship you were taking was not yours. Because people who take ship designs and call them their own. Even though they change a couple things on it, just to say it was their design...it was not theirs. Myself and community hate people that steal other's designs as their own. Only a POS does that anyways.

hey kan, europa is a moon of jupiter, phobos, and demos is that of mars, there a legend that there is a tenth planet that crosses path with pluto it is on the very each of the edge of the solar system and it has yet to be discovered so if your up to the challange you would be the first to discover...?

p.s. mars moons and europa have a asteroid belt between mars and jupiter so jumping with a jump drive is very dangerous if you remember what happened to your ver.2 jumpship so i would be extremely careful between the moons...because the closer you get the denser the asteroids get...
