I love WHAM missiles. I've built missile frigates that can bully much bigger ships out at 4-5km away with swarms of missiles. 10-12 missiles out with evasive will blow massive holes in most ships and usually cripple them in the first volley. Player made missiles are really the only effective weapons that small grids can use to damage large grids as well.

Would also be useful to see the remote firing thing, i have tried to set that up but it seems to have a few Issues for me.

1. Go under custom data in the program block of the missile. At the bottom you see a line to allow remote firing. Change false to true. 2. Go to another ship with the LAMP script. There is an augment to remote fire a missile. Use that. Sorry I'm on my phone and can't look it up at the moment

I'm trying to do these in a space ship with hangar doors. If I manually open them first it works, but if I don't the doors won't open. I have them in the fire control group, any help?

I don’t remember offhand how to do it, you’ll have to glance at the guide for the script. But you can auto set a door to open for a specific missile, then the missile fires and the door closes.

Does Camera mode work for you because it says no target even after doing everything else correctly, turret mode and beam ride modes work though?

You need to use the augment to start lock. And a lot of times I find it not picking up a target and turret mode easier. The more cameras the better

So I’m on Xbox and have to copy/paste scripts like this or get it from another blueprint. Whenever I printed this out in my dedicated server that does allow scripts it says “main method not found” I was wondering if you had any idea what that means and how to fix it. Also thank you, I used this to make Xbox/pc compatible controls

I have no idea. Make sure you have the entire script copied over and try again. Only thing I can think of

Hey I can’t place the missile on the merge block the same way you did. I am having to move the ship over to each missile, could you tell me what I’m doing wrong? Great video!

Look at the center of the merge block and press CTRL C to copy. Then line up the copy with the merge block on your ship. Also this video was made before the 1x1 merge block was added. You could try to look into using that instead.

Make sure all your missiles have unique name and run the setup on the missile program block and try again

Great tutorial. I'm glad I found it. Most of it works but I have to manually arm the warheads before I launch the missile. First time I launched I watched the missile hit expecting an explosion only for it to make a dent & bounce harmlessly off into space lmfao! Any suggestions on what I'm missing?

If you have cameras on the front of the missile they should act like proximity sensors and detonate the warheads

@@theojibwalovapewpewpew5068 if you have cameras and warheads and everything is grouped as it should then there shouldn’t be an issue. Is the grid you are shooting at an enemy grid? If not change ownership of it to enemy and try again

Now I'm just wondering if you can point me in the right direction to learn how to print multiple missiles from the same blueprint with the proper naming for each missile. if that's even possible cause right now I'm having to make a blueprint for each missile.

@@theojibwalovapewpewpew5068 build your missile. But as the group instead of it being “missile 1” make it “missile x” copy and paste the missile onto your vehicle and rename the group to the correct missile number then delete the missile x group. Repeat till all of the missiles are on. Make the vehicle it’s own blueprint

1. Make sure the grid is set to pirate so it is hostile. 2. Add more cameras if needed. 3-6 usually works well

1. Place required blocks. Merge block, power source, remote control, antena, thruster, program block, gyro. Add additional warheads and cameras. Group them all together under the name "Missile #" with the # being any number you pick. Install script into program block. It should then work

Realy like youre how to videos on the more complicated scripts wel for me setting up most scripts right i do need this kind of tutorial because most dudes have suchs hard to understand langues sow keep it up also whould like to see some ways if u know any to make like some kind of drone that can kind of explore and mark certain locations preverly a smal fast one that works well bud i never can seem to find the right script for some thing like that and vanila drone stuf realy doesnt work the way i wand

You need a lock to fire. Or switch to beam ride mode to fire without a lock
