Black Widow disappointed and kinda pissed me off. There was very little world building and advancing. I was expecting General Ross to play a greater role, maybe tease him trying to become Red Hulk through the super soldier serum. I wanted bigger teasers for either Dark Avengers or The Thunderbolts, not just Elaine popping up in the end. I could go on, but whats the point. So many missed opportunities, worse than Iron Man 3 (and that one was hard to top)!

Unfortunately yes. Even tho I liked it, it felt very insignificant in what the MCU is currently doing. Kang, multiverse, secret invasion, mutants, etc. And as Grace said in the video Loki's finale coming out right after the movies release didn't help. They'll probably learn how to release the shows around the movies so this doesn't happen again. I know Black Panther and Captain Marvel were suppose to be made way earlier but didn't because of the previous head of Marvel, so I wonder if Black Widow is in the same boat.

It would have been so easy to make Black Widow awesome too. I thought about how I would have fixed it and I think I could have done it just by adding in one cheap seen and changing one scene. When she escapes Thaddeus Ross she should have had a scene like the one from Jason Bourne at the train station. Where they are trying to spot him on the cameras but he knows how to spot the cameras and move through the crowd to avoid his face being on film. That would have show cased some of Black Widows spy skills. Second at the end of the movie they shouldn't have been captured. Instead Captain Russia should have distracted beaten up the first wave of soldiers causing them to call in Task master for back up. Captain Russia has his first fight with Task Master and loses. This creates enough of a distraction though for the 3 Black Widows to escape. Captain Russia is taken in by Task Master. Then the 3 Widows plan a Mission Impossible styled approach to getting into the facility. Once inside one of them helps break free Captain Russia and he gets his second fight with Task Master. I think that would have been enough to fix the movie. That is what most people have been saying, that the movie needed a little more Jason Bourne and Mission Impossible. It would not have been that hard or even expensive to do.

I think Black Widow was Kevin Feige's first misstep. The film should have come out years ago. Timing wise the film doesn't land the same way after Endgame.There just wasn't a sense of urgency or frankly enough interest in knowing her backstory after she died. Yep. I always thought he could have made bank on a Black Widow movie if he'd started making it when fans were first requesting it, and released it around the time they released Lucy. Lucy did well because it was a female action superpower flick similar to what people wanted from Marvel and Black Widow at the time, and it had Scarlett Johanson. Honestly, it was so much better the second time around. I enjoyed the story much more. It was a story about the Red Room and Black Widow, but it’s basically evolved into a Red Room of Hypnosis. This past weekend was my first time back in the theaters in 2 years. My wife and I saw Black Widow and we were so excited just to be sitting in a theater again we kept smiling and geeking out as my son rolled his eyes in embarrassment. Black Widow ROCKED but Holy Cow the cinema was PACKED but the viewing theater we sat in was EMPTY. Felt good to be back, but these are still weird times. I really want Scarlet Johansen to win big from this movie because her tactical training and choreography was SOOO on point I couldn’t help but nod and smile in approval.💪🏽🚔💥❤️

It is a problem that anyone that doesn't like a movie is automatically a hater. There's no room for improvement in that way, and you can't expect a movie to turn into a blockbuster if it is objectively bad. Word of mouth likely didn’t help out Black Widow, although I would personally recommend it, I know many would not. Although I have faith the box office will keeping growing as we finally come out of the pandemic. It will be interesting to see how Shang-Chi and Eternals do, as they will release in theaters only. I wonder if No Way Home will be able to reach a billion?

I'm not a hater, really, I am a hardcore Marvel fan... still I don't understand how people liked Loki. That show was so bad imho, Loki character wasn't Loki... he was Prince Charming: no deception, no double play, no backstabbing NOTHING! It was a bland generic, silly story that was saved in the end just by the brilliant performaces of Owen Wilson and Johnatan Majors who were magnificent in their roles...

Loki was a brilliant show the best in my view after WandaVision. It put Loki out of his comfort zone and made us view the power of the Infinity Stones differently. It also made us understand the Time Travel rules differently as well as the Time Variance Authority. Also If you dont love Miss Minutes you are missing out coz she's adorable!

Pandemic for sure altered all film opening, because here in Htown theaters are having customers but NOWHERE near pre-pandemic audience numbers. The 2 times I went to the theater for opening movies It wasn't packed when it always was pre-pandemic.... So yea, Sp2 and BW for sure would have done better minus pandemic. Also remember the new Delta Variant of Corona is scaring the public to not going out again

I think it's interesting that The Falcon & The Winter Soldier is still trending. I imagine that those who watched Black Widow, but never watched The Falcon & The Winter Soldier will jump into it to find out more about Valentina, and see that whole spy thriller world done better and more fleshed out. A whole bunch of people in my Black Widow screening had NO idea who that Seinfeld woman was, and one woman sold The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Disney+ like she worked for Disney.

The box office is still recovering even tho there has been two big openings. I feel that people are willing to see blockbusters movies once or skip until next week or wait for a movie they really want to see. There’s a lot of factors for the big drops/ soft openings, I don’t think the theaters will go back to what it was until 2022. If Snake Eyes have a huge drop in its second weekend, it’ll probably be a continuing trend.

Every time we do this lately it's always SUCH A SHOCK that the biggest release had a huge drop. Why is it still a surprise? The theatres aren't back to full go yet, as far as customers I mean. People still aren't 100% ready and many won't go for seconds. Plus those who purchased it on disney+, don't have to go see it again. It's not a mystery

No -- *no.* The Marvel movies don't have to be Endgame events to compete with the shows. They have to be good movies made by good people without agendas that compromise good storytelling. That's it. The intro to Black Widow was amazing. I loved the dark tone. It was everything I wanted from a Black Widow movie. It felt like Jason Bourne. And they screwed it up. (Not completely, because the film is OK. But they made decisions they didn't have to for bad reasons and compromised what could easily have been an *amazing* movie. Easily.)
