"Who framed Rodger rabbit" and 'cool world" we 2 movies also from this time that blended live action and cartoons.
@fivetriplezero89856 ай бұрын
The Looney Tunes are blended so well and the humans blended so well against a green screen because this movie had real animators working on it. They drew the frames that became the animation and have a much better grasp of shadow and lighting than your average digital effects artist today. "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" is a movie that has similar and slightly better incorporations. It is a noir crime mystery loosely based on an old movie called "Chinatown." Roger Rabbit is not a Looney Tune although some are in that film as well. Modern cartoons are made with computers after the concept art stage(and sometimes even then) whereas Looney Tunes have traditionally been hand animated. This movie used a mixture of both but most of the Tunes are hand animated. Why does that guy not have a face?: That is Marvin the Martian. The Martians in Looney Tunes are just very smooth and dark black. So you are seeing his face it just looks like a shadow. They also have no mouths and wear the uniform of a roman centurion. All of the Looney Tunes are classic cartoons from the 1930's and onward. Most of the well known ones were made in the 50's and 60's. They have been played on TV in America more than any other syndicated cartoons partially because they have so much media. A new Looney Tunes show or movie is coming out almost every other year. It is also due to how much they get played. "The Bugs Bunny Show" alone ran for 40 years on television, and was the longest running cartoon show. Lola Bunny was created just for this movie. She got mixed reactions because of over sexualization. "Fall flat on her feet.": Not a saying I've heard. Flat on her face? "Head over heels" or "swept off her feet" would be more common in America. Is he Australian?: That is the Tasmanian Devil. He is from Tasmania. Tasmania is an Island off the southern coast of Australia near New Zealand that is a state of Australia. Tasmanian devils are real creatures that basically look like huge rats and are known for ferociously tearing their prey apart in a pack. They are the largest carnivorous marsupial in the world. They make terrifying noises while hunting and feeding, and have enough jaw power to crush bones. The game you played could have been: Bugs Bunny: Rabbit Rampage on the SNES or Bugs Bunny & Taz: Time Busters on the Playstation One There are several more Looney Tunes games but these seem the most likely from your description.
@joeblankenship3776 ай бұрын
You should go back and watch some of the old Looney Tunes shorts. They've been around forever. They used to play them in movie theaters before the movies started, back in the 40s and 50s. Then they compiled them together and ran them on TV for like 30 years. When Space Jam came out, nearly everybody had grown up watching Bugs and Daffy on Saturday mornings.
@joshuariddensdale21265 ай бұрын
Space Jam was essentially a satire of Michael Jordan's time when he retired from the NBA to pursue a baseball career. It was so disastrous that he returned to the NBA two years later, again with the Chicago Bulls. He would retire a second time, and un-retire again to play for the Washington Wizards.

“Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” was the first to do this. They got permission though to combine Disney & Warner Bros characters together. They haven’t done that since due to issues that came up. Disney wanted a certain character design and Warner kind of tricked them. 21:36 basically like wearing the same pair of underwear for every game without washing them. 23:15 fear. The dog is huge to them cause they’re scared of him. 27:00 she’s got a tiny waist cause she’s athletically fit. But I try to remember to: be kind to yourself and to take extra good care of eating, exercising and resting. Along with a trusted support system of friends and family. It's easier said than done but never ever give up! Now this might be a silly kids movie but the soundtrack is unforgettable for those of us that grew up with a Space Jam VHS! You're spot on with all the product placement since Michael was the sponsored by all those brands like Nike, Gatorade, Wheaties and McDonalds. And you're 1000% correct about the emphasis on his shoes. The Air Jordan shoe turned Nike into a global empire and the Air Jordan brand under Nike still sells sports apparel for hundreds of millions of dollars every year currently.

I am very sick and disabled and take a lot of medication. One of my prescriptions actually causes depression as a side effect(Prednisone). Not only that, but I have the most painful skin disease in the world(HS) and that too, causes depression in every person that has it because of how painful it is. So double depression. I'm not telling you this as a ''one up'', I'm merely telling you it so you know that there's someone out there who understands the struggle of mental health. I became a hermit and isolate a lot! The winter seasons here in Canada are the worst, I can't wait for spring so I can be outside around flowers and bees. The best way I've found to fight anhedonia is to simply power through. I force myself to do things I used to enjoy, like play video games, because I know even though I'm not experiencing the same happiness, I'm still flooding my body with the necessary chemicals and hormones to combat the depression.

I resonate with that, for sure. Anyway, if you don't know basketball, all you need to know about this movie is that in the 90s, Michael Jordan was a GOD. A global phenomenon, biggest celebrity on the planet because of his insane ability and his team's complete dominance. They set all kinds of records and he led them to 6 championship seasons (which is a lot for the NBA). The myth of MJ even grew larger than the actual person, and he's still widely considered the GOAT today. Not the greatest baseball player or actor though lol

10/10 Simply Fun If you're looking for intelligent, high-brow comedy...what is WRONG with you, this is a LOONEY TUNES MOVIE! Sheesh...this film is nothing outstanding, but it is simply fun. I'm sure that Michael Jordan enjoyed star billing, but as is usually the case when your co-star is a cartoon rabbit with more than 50 years of experience behind him (and one of the best catch phrases in cinema), he is up-staged by Bugs Bunny. Oh, not to say that Jordan turned in a poor performance. Thank goodness this guy at least seems to have a good sense of humor.But there's some simple, pure enjoyment in watching this film. I got a kick out of the big basketball game, and found the sequence with Bugs and Daffy retrieving Michael's lucky boxers to be a riot. Yea, the plot is pretty hare-brained ('scuse me, Bugs...duck-brained;D), but it's nothing unworthy of Looney Tunes. Don't ever forget that-this is a Looney Tunes film. They got away with using anything for a plot, and this movie is in the same tradition. It's like asking a movie about Beavis and Butthead to be artful and dramatic. Looney Tunes represent the goofy side of animation, and this film adheres well to that philosophy. I recommend this for any fan of Looney Tunes...oh yea, if your a sports fan, you should enjoy it too. I, a mild basketball fan, really enjoyed myself.

@@nsasupporter7557 If you don't compare it to Space Jam, it's pretty decent. The Looney Tunes characters are the best part, but the live-action characters are quite bad.

Hi Sessis I under stand how hard mental illness is. Wanting to be alone and not do things but at the same time you want to be with people and do all the things that makes you happy. but having that mental block blocking your path and it feels like there's nothing you can do. but there is you can push through it climb it or find a new path that will lead you to where you are trying to go. I can see that you seem to find a way through that big mental wall that blocks you and you show a positive attitude on life. For that you disserve a standing ovation👏👏👏👏👏👏 and a lot of these🫂🫂🫂🫂. Keep doing what you do that makes you feel good .and it will make every one happy seeing you do what makes you happy😸😸😸😸

This was an interesting reaction (specially considering that you knew little to nothing about the Looney Tunes) Well done! If you want to watch more movie with cartoon characters and live-action characters blended together, I recommend you Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003), starring Brendan Fraser (from The Mummy) and of course Bugs Bunny & Daffy Duck. Also, if you thought the visual efffects from Space Jam were really good, wait to see Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) (its special effects are in another level and that movie is a masterpiece).
