Honestly guys I've been watching you since I was 17, I'm 30 now lol. The biggest change I've seen is on the angry reviews. The best way I can describe it is your channel is like it was a well loved restaurant that decided to not sell their favoured dishes anymore, and would only sell entrees and sides. At times you'd do mains, but they'd arrive cold or half cooked. I understand the angry reviews are costly and take much more effort than your other content - but imo they are the heart and soul of the angry joe show. They give you a point of difference and make your show unique. For years they have taken a backseat, they are constantly late or "rapid fire" instead. Look, it's your channel, but your viewership is suffering because you have put substantially less effort into the heart and soul content that made your channel unique. I'm not saying you should stop your other stuff - not at all - I'm just saying you need some main dishes to have with your sides, or else your customers will (and have) left.

You have to actually spend the time to play the game to review it. A movie with a very extended cut is something like 4h. The campaign is something like 8h, with easily another 8h to just run through all the missions and give it 8h in multiplayer. With that I don't even think you get a good picture of the "live service" features of the game.

Even if there is a lot going on behind the scenes, I feel like this game above all others deserved the typical review format, especially since Joe is a die hard 40K fan. This game is incredible. One of the most cinematic gaming experiences of my life, the set pieces are just beyond gorgeous, the game smooth as butter, the gameplay loop is simple, yet rewarding, and the devs have already proven that they are paying attention to the community and their wants. Just an absolute home-run from Saber.

I appreciate we are at least getting something even if it’s not the classic review format with skits etc. however, almost 2 MONTHS? for just a discussion? That could have easily been done in a day (a few hours), plus these last years feels like the channel has dwindled down on game reviews a lot, and they are often very late (literally months) after launch date. It’s always that something’s been going on etc as the reason why it’s late, but yet we keep getting constantly fed with movies and show reviews. The channel has turned into an entertainment reviews channel, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but it feels like games are not as prioritized as they used to be. Hell we didn’t even get a FFVII Rebirth review and you praised the hell out of remake. These kinds of reviews should honestly be called something else as well. We got rapid fire, we got reviews, and this could be a review discussion. The name sets up the expectations on what the video will be like, and if it’s an angry review people will come in with the expectation that it’s like the reviews usually are, with costumes, skits etc.

It’s a combination of being content with the effort-to-revenue ratio and burnout. They’ve reached peak subscriber saturation, stuck at around 3 million subscribers for years. The quality of their content is getting worse and taking longer to release. I’d love to see them hire a team and start innovating, but ultimately, it’s Joe and the other guys CONSCIOUS choice to continue with their current approach. Hell I'd want to help, and I know others would want to too. It's just sad to see being a fan of his for years.

His early work was really fresh and entertaining, and i felt like i shared the same views as him, so i would really look forward to his reviews. Though that feeling fizzled out many years ago. The issue with a lot of these YT channels that have been around a long time is that everyone ages out. The games/media/tech/sport/hobby/etc changes as time goes on, the reviewer changes, and the audience changes in preferences too. All good things must come to an end. I imagine a lot of his subscribers are dead accounts now too. I wish him all the best though.

Yeah, Alex and OJ are already involved in the classic style "Angry Review" videos through skits, and those skits are sometimes better than the review itself. This is akin to the format they use whenever they discuss movies or TV shows and, let's be honest, is very low effort and lazy. This is basically just a short podcast that doesn't at all separate Angry Joe from any other KZbin reviewer. You'd think Angry Joe would be excited to do more Warhammer based skits where he can play around with his props with how much of a fan of the franchise he is. Apparently their costumes didn't fit them or something and so I guess they just gave up on a proper Angry Review. But these game reviews are becoming increasingly uncommon while they spend hours of their time watching TV and movies instead. 7:00 the AI was bad?? I was honestly impressed at how AI followers were somewhat useful and not at all a Borden. I’m not sure what the floor is these days, but this ain’t it. I’d rather have computer Chairon and Gadriel than OJ and Alex speed running through every mission. I watched some of the stream and Joe was BARELY able to take in any of the environment because those two were sprinting through everything

They are just parroting what they heard since they didn't invest the time themselves to test this. To be clear the AI isn't -amazing-, but they're definitely not terrible either. The main drawback with them is that they don't dish out too much damage (though they kinda make up for this by also not taking much damage themselves). Normally I recommend playing through this game with friends, but like you said if they play like OJ and Alex and often rush through every setpiece, trigger every dialogue scene prematurely, and not pay any attention to it? Yeah lots of the smaller details will get lost in the sauce and bots would've made for a better experience overall.

As someone who played it day one high difficulty alone. It’s not great. Not even the friendly ones but it felt like the enemy ranged target HYPER focused player characters day 1. And upon revival they would sometimes get stuck. I would 10000% believe if they did not Have the Friendlies be UBER tankey ppl would complain a ton

😂 OJs Space Marine sounds like his name is Terrance Edit: Shoot I forgot, my biggest gripe with customization is similar to Alex's, I feel like I can't customize my marines to the degree I normally like. (Then again, I got disappointed that I couldn't Color individual armor plates and segments of armor because I was trying to make a mirror of my customized marines so I might be *slightly* hyper fixated) Its otherwise not bad at making prestablished chapters. It does suck tho that you can't mess around with the chaos armors (tho that maybe dlc)

Sorry Alex but space marines will always be front and center. Poster boys are poster boys for an reason. Not hating on the appeal of mortal soldiers facing the horrors of the galaxy. However, while sci fi super soldiers are not unique to warhammer, Warhammer space marines have such a unique aesthetic. The silhouette of a giant dude in power armor is synonymous with Warhammer.

To make the 40k show, all they have to do is make it about an Inquisitor and their Retinue. You have the flexibility to make it an investigation, some action. It can start as heretic investigation eventually with more actual demons, even a Chaos Marine, then you can bring in other marines for certain times. I wouldn't suggest using an existing inquisitor in lore, a fully original story using an inquisitor. Have it limited to a single planet or a few planets (no more than a sector). I wouldn't even have the inquisitor themselves being the primary focus. Instead a member of the retinue with the inquisitor being the one who knows all the information and gives out the mission, consulted, reported to, etc.

HEY Angry Joe Some contructivbe criticism my friend... Love your channel and show. I dig how you want to provide a great variety of contant on the channel to keep your fans and subs entertained. You got alot going on right now and I can see how busy you guys are. I would reconsider some of the things you guys do and provide and consolidate. Well this has pretty much confirmed my decision to unsub. How many 40K games come out Joe? How many do you actually get around to reviewing? Literally none. We finally have a big AAA 40K game and you not only do a lazy arse, minimal effort group discussion review for it, you give it the same score as IGN of all places??? An 8??? The game is objectively at least a 9, any 40K fan knows that and I can even see it in your face towards the end that you know it's a 9 but the Debbie Downer Alex yet again is almost nothing but negative like he is about everything and brings you down to an 8. In the games, Titus is not said to have a strong connection to the warp. He has a strange one, and one that provides resistance to it. It's how he survived things in the first game and now again with this. I think the devs also said that there's going to be more variants of things in the future. More single player (I believe they hinted at Malum Caedo popping up in the future). And some other multiplayer modes (Hopefully a return of the Dreadnaught mode...because that was awesome in the first game).
