Great project Steve. My wife fell in love with at the moment she saw it, and absolutely loved the door pulls. On another note, for all the people who are judging about the advertising in Steve's videos. This is how Steve makes his living. The money comes in because of what he does for the companies that sponsor him. No one here questions how you make your living, so let Steve make his. He is doing the Woodworking community a great service, you should be thankful not ungrateful.

I hope Steve becomes a Millionaire selling products for company's , sales is a wonderful profession that is absolutely necessary for manufacturing and prospering our country. I was not even aware of the Grr-Ripper until I saw Steve's demo , I bought two of them and I am so much safer. I used to dread ripping thin strips on my table saw with a push stick and would not go near an open router bit without a fence. I also have purchased the Kreg jig system and it makes my work more enjoyable. Rock On Steve , Rock ON !

i've never understood people that complain about this. they must not watch movies because they clearly help their favorite movie stars swim in money by doing so. or even network t.v. i wonder if they call up nbc or cbs and complain that they KNOW someone is making money over the commercials they are forced to sit through. i pray they all get cancer of the eyeballs. that will teach them a lesson.

Easiest way I found to install the table support brace was to take a 45 degree tool and measure my height off the bottom. But I noticed your braces fold towards the pivot which is possible but is a really huge pain. Turn them around so they lock by pushing towards the pivot. Also safer so if you bump it with your knees you are not catching a falling table. Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks for the great videos, love watching them.

I watched this back when you first made it, but now that I'm FINALLY making my own, I really want it to have storage behind it, with the table making up the door of the cabinet. I don't know that I'll be able to make the bottom of the table look as nice as you made your doors, but I'll certainly try.

The folding locks are easy to put into place. Just have them in the locked straight position measure the holes and where it is going to go, Then remove about 2-4mm towards the topsurface and it works just fine and has enough room to lock and fold with ease. This is a simple yet very usefull. As i've used these countless times during my educational days.

Steve, I may have missed this in the previous comments but another brace idea could just be a simple triangle on a hinge along one side and a set pin on the top side. Swing the triangle into place and set the pin into a retaining hole on the underside of the table top. The triangle would keep the leg in place and the pin (working with gravity) would keep the triangle in place.

I REALLY love this fold down table. I've been looking around KZbin for ideas for a horizontal wall mounted fold down craft table. My carpentry skills, and tools can't do anything like this. My random thought it up but haven't sketched it out would be a light hollow core interior door, with wood anchor board along wall, hinged to that, chain or rope on either side drop down legs. When folded up to wall thought I could paint with chalkboard paint and then cork on part, trim around the edges. Crazy idea really. Who knows. Thanks.for your videos :)

Steve, as usual excellent video and content. I would like to offer all a little hint that can save you a lot of trouble. When using a french cleat to hang projects, in particular heavy ones don't paint the two 45 degree angle cuts. Over time the painted surfaces will literally weld themselves together and make it very hard to remove from the wall.....don't ask!

Hi Steve, this might be the answer to getting a better desk in my craft room. Someone gave me a huge office desk. Big metal thing with file drawers on either side. 2 smaller ones above. The only thing the file drawers are good for are damaged knees! If you could just lay the table out on top of some small rolling cabinets, or drawers... There might not be such trouble with the hinges.the piano hinge might be enough. I'm not a woodworker, so I'm not sure. I love Lindsay at the frugal crafter's videos. Thanks for sharing your expertise,

I made a fold-out sewing table using those braces. I am a TOTAL non-knowledgeable beginner, so you can imagine the fun I had with them. My approach, that worked eventually: liberal application of knuckle blood, many colorful curses, and a mindless, dogged determination to get those _____s to work. But oy. Good on you for getting it to work. I'm jealous of that crafting room, btw.

I have not read Ready Player One, I so need to. I was a child of the 80's (born in the late 70's) So, I have very fond memories of games like Tempest (which is also one of my favorite games of all time), but at the top of the list is Ms. Pac-Man. I was fortunate enough to get a non-working Ms. Pac-Man for $90 and was able to get it working once again. Thank you for all of your videos. Believe it or not, I remember Ghosts 'n Goblins. I remember spending hours and hours at the arcade, trying to beat that game as a kid. Mind you, I was a kid some 15 years after the game initially came out. I did however spend lots and lots of allowance money on the game. Thanks you very much Steve. Great idea and nicely done plans. Just a comment on metric plans you may or may not know. Whenever you do a metric design we usually round main dimensions to pleasing and easier numbers not to hard exact converison form inches because that will normally give you a telephone-like number. for example in this project overall dimension would be 840 x 1600 instead of 848 x 1613 So metrc based plans should not exaclty match imperial. The drawback is that it would force you to make two completely different sets of plans for the same project and probably that´s not economical or practical. Anyway, I love you channel and approach to woodworking. Merry Christmas!.
