@@EternalQuestion I know right. Giving us the out of date versions of stratagems in Saga of the Beast was them pouring salt on the wound. Man...

I personally adore Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf with a pair of master crafted wolf claws and Saga of the hunter. It's pretty durable, toughness 5, 7 wounds and a 4++. But the fella is a one man army. he can reroll ones to hit (I mean, he hits on 2s!) and can reroll all failed wound rolls, for 2 damage a pop. He's like Wolverine on a Wolf!

@@SunBearScott Another good one is Battle Leader with Beast Slayer and Wyrmsplitter. (and it's only the cost of a power axe, freeing up like 34 points!). Ironfang is good from the Stalker Pack for Sagas that require killing / wounding 5 times (because of the Mortal wounds carrying over). Now we get exploding hits (and a damn fine strat) Wolfen Stone and Saga of Wulfen are slightly less needed now. So have fun experimenting with the weapons and sagas that add utility rather than overkill. ^^

with this age of space marine grav tanks, I think i'll invest in a few Hunters, they would hit on 2's and I can use skyfire as a strat to have the chance to double the damage of my skyspear missile. If you run space wolves a good way to provide a chance for them to get into combat is to make a healthy investment into heavy support, especially long range heavy support

How to win as Space Wolves: Pray that you make the 9" charge Had a 5 man squad of wolfen (4 thunderhammers plus the leader) make the charge onto my buddies ultramarines. Killed Marneus Calgar, his victrix Honor Guard and his lieutenant with hits to spare on each of them. It was absolutely devastating.

When you discussed the Emperors Executioners strat you said extra hits, but its extra attacks. This means new rolls, which has excellent synergy with touch of the wild. This is still only usefull against TS but if my math is correct, if you shoot with twin las and heavy Flamer, then charge, Bjorn will on average deal enough wounds to kill Magnus in a single turn using only those 2 strats. Getting revenge for that pesky siege way back when.

on paper i like the skyclaws over wolf guard with jump packs for few reasons. First being the large choice already of really good Elite choice, meaning that i won't propably take thoses kind of wolf guards. Also wulfen being quite popular, can give a reroll charge up to 12" for thoses same skyclaws who still pack a nice punch. Giving more flexibility on where you put thoses on the battlefield with reliability . And can fill up an outrider detachment when you already took 3 really good elite. ( maybe also i like their fluff haha )

Saga of the Hunter could be good on a Wolf Lord on Bike, wich auto advances 6", so 20" and then charging.

I feel like it would be pretty good if you wanted to soup up with white scars. You could go cheap with an iron priest on bike and armour of russ to make sure no one can counter charge your white scars buddy without getting punished while still having decent firepower

I think both Wolf Lord on Bike and Iron Priest on Bike have both gone to Legends, so you’d only be able to use them for non-competitive games.

Very informative but extremely monotone its easy to tune out within a minute maybe some light backround music and change up the white to space wolf grey give some color

Hobby question for anyone here. Whats an easy or cool way to make a smash lord or smash battle leader?

My smash captain is based on krom. His left arm is easy to replace with the stormshield arm from the wolf pack or TWC box. You can also use a wulfen SS if you want. I used Krom's standard right arm, but replaced the top part of the axe with a thunder hammer. Then I added a jump pack, attached on icon from the upgrade sprue to the top of it, and swapped out his head and shoulder pad for different ones. Finally I used cork to build up a rocky platform for him to stand on, to elevate him a bit and give more presence on the table. My WGBL is based on Geigor Fellhand from the Burning of Prospero set. It's a 30k model, but you can probably get him on ebay pretty easily. I just swapped out his arms and attached a jump pack. Easy!

Daniel Schmidt they are actually pretty good in game. I think people look at youtubers and tournament lists too much. There is not a huge margin between a very good space wolves list and a very good iron hands list (I know iron hands are busted but you know what I mean), it only makes a big difference in tourneys. At the end of the day, it’s all about the players, not the armies

Both yes and no :) I see what you mean, but in my meta and how i like to play is to make list that are in the top-ish of itc rankings.. But you do get enjoyable games with sw beacuse of their flavourfull units if you arent in to all that :)

id love to see videos like this covering the codex of other factions! love the content really helpful for new players me and my friends have recently gotten into the hobby and it has been very nice to watch these while deciding what army we would build
