Marc Bolan was the true shooting star, he born be a fantastic rock and roll star and he did it. I know my life hasn't been much but I have lived a long time. but I can't help but say that I'm a little bit envious of him, for he did it all if only for a short time. after all we all only have short time in our lives.

Marc Bolan = legend. I only wish I'd have been born earlier so I could have seen this amazingly talented man live in concert, sadly I was born in 1969, was a little too young to be into T Rex, really wish marc had lived to be like elton John and David bowie. I can listen to T Rex all day every day.

The industry is different now, half a century on. This feels so informal. It's not just that he's sitting on the stage floor playing his guitar and singing, although that is part of it, but he also adjusts his own mic stand, and attempts (and fails) to tune his own guitar. Today, details like these would be taken care of. The show would run smoothly, like a well-oiled machine. But, like a machine, today's arena show would lack the human warmth, beauty, and soul Marc gave us here. And a ticket today would cost you 10 times more than they payed in 1972, even adjusted for inflation. I'll take out-of-tune T. Rex.

Thanks for the upload, love Bolan. What was up with the crew in this show? Every time Bolan picks up a guitar, its out of tune and there is technical problems throughout. Maybe they were out back having too much fun.

I'm just a man I understand the wind And all the things That make the children cry With my Les Paul I know I'm small But I enjoy living Anyway Book after book I get hooked Everytime the writer Talks me like a friend What can I do We just live in a zoo All I do is play The spaceball ricochet Deep in my heart There's a house That can hold Almost all of you I bought a car It was old but kind I gave it my mind And it disappeared I love a girl She is a changeless angel She's a city it's a pity That I'm like me I said how can I lay When all I do is play The spaceball ricochet

Great vocal but that guitar was not tuned!
@danhermon49226 жыл бұрын
I'm thinking among his many other uncredited contributions Tony Visconti must've tuned his acoustic guitar in the studio. Here he seems to realize it's out of tune but evidently is unable to correct it.
@annwhite23466 жыл бұрын
That's what Visconti and Bolan out over. Tony asked him to tune his guitars and Marc was rude to him. Tony quit as a result and went back to working with David Bowie, who was always polite and professional in the studio (according to oeople who worked with him).
@annwhite23466 жыл бұрын
Should have added, there was a rumour that Marc didn't know how to tune a guitar, but was too cocky to ask for help. A shame really, his lack of attention to details really let him down, in my opinion.
