I saw him when I went to see his girlfriend Gloria Jones at the Ritz ballroom in Manchester 1970s. He was just walking around the place - no one bothering him as we were all Northern Soul fans. Gloria was excellent and Marc was very small!! Looked cool though

Telegram Sam at maximum volume, that makes my day. He had all this : the inspiration, the charisma, the style. And I will believe forever that he was a good , an extraordinary good person. At least before the crisis which probably broke out in 1974/75.
