You probably see so many of them for a few reasons 1) those who are fortunate (or rich) enough to own a Golden Pan will almost always use it in every single one of their loadouts, and will use it for melee kills at every opportunity. 2) if someone using a golden pan dies, it is dropped on the ground, where it will almost certainly be picked up by another player immediately. 3) most community servers have commands that let you give yourself any item you want, which is why you see so many new players using them on these servers.

You missed the "series-less Mann. Co. Crates". These crates do not have a series number like all other Mann. Co. Crates do. And there is only about 4 of them in existence from what I last remember. It is unknown what would happen or what items you would receive if you opened one. Some people theory that if one of the 4 owners opened one of these crates that they would receive... Nothing. As in the description of the crate, there isn't any weapons or cosmetics listed. While others theory that they would receive some completely glitched/bugged item. Which would be maybe something like a broken weapon/cosmetic with impossible properties/qualities. But the chance of any of the 4 owners ever coming back to TF2 and opening one is very low. So nobody really knows what would happen if any of these 4 very rare crates were un-boxed. Edit: Apparently there are actually only 2 of these crates confirmed to be in existence. This makes the chances of any of the 2 owners ever coming back to TF2 and opening one of them beyond rare.

The seriesless crates are in collector's backpacks. They are very much active, they just don't want to open the crates for obvious reasons (it definitely would not give a glitched item).

@@VrOOm1337 I think the game would probably give you a Normal Quality Level 0 Tradable Bat. Apparently a couple of these exist, and they came to be because the servers somehow bugged out and didn't know what to give players, so it ended up defaulting to all the in-game defaults. Normal Quality, Level 0, Tradeable, and Bat are the first entries of their respective file schemas (The lists in the game files that basically say what an item is and its traits), so they end up being the defaults for an unknowable item. The game would probably freak out and not know what to give you, but still has to give you *something*, so it'd just default to that. That, or it sees there is nothing *to* give and decides that that's fine, in which case you get a very nice empty unbox stream, and a profit loss of however absurd Series-less crates' value is. Ultimately, it's up to how crates are coded to handle unboxings. The code of this game has been leaked, right? Someone might be able to look into it and see what's the most likely outcome.

One thing that is worth mentioning regarding the Top Notch is that according to a podcast with various TF2 developers (as well as other guests, like Notch himself) the hat had a hidden stat which made Notch take extra damage when he was wearing it (it was like 20-25% more damage, im not sure)

Also the strange camera melee is slightly less rare then Saxxy but still rare and is awarded for lesser achievements in Saxxy awards(I don't remember if it was participation price or like 2nd 3rd place award but it doesn't matter since you can't get more of em, also should've mentioned they used to be unique quality and not strange one so you couldn't even level up your Saxxy at one point)

I still own a set of Voodoo-Cursed items and a Pile of Curses from old Halloween updates. It's a shame they are not tradable though. Also you didn't mention craftable items that were not meant to be craftable. Like 2011 Summer Set (Summer Hat, Lucky No. 42, Flip-Flops). They were available for purchase for a limited time, which already makes them quite rare, but since all Mann Co purchases are uncraftables, only bugged ones became craftable.

dupped items really dont exist anymore as the only way to tell was backpack.tf history which was wiped. strange collectors exist and spelled collectors exist strange spelled collectors are obviously the most expensive spells are a tad more advanced than you led on as some cosmetics can have major price increases for particular spells and spell types ie footprints or color spells fireproof secret diaries have been price manipulated from 25 keys to the current price over the last year the most recent sale of a painted mangler was 2 g pans and purples energy crones and 500 pure keys, sauce i know the dude who sold it the make a wish kid with the unusual g pan visits the firepowered community trading server about once or twice a year, he still plays and might accept your friend request you also didn't mention chromatic corruption catastrophic companions, the chromatic corruption is confirmed to exist but there are rumors of a spectral spectral spectrum one finally you didnt mention the difference between warpaints and skins, skins being applied to the weapon as soon as it was unboxed and are far more valuable in some cases warpaints being common enough i was very deep into the abyss but rarely play anymore, if you want to talk to the painted mangler seller triple a, i might be able to hook you up
