US Army Life in Bad Nauhiem: I dont know how the Army ran it in Elvis days, but when I lived in Bad Nauhiem 1980-83 , Army soldiers that had a family and lived OFF Post , from Ray Barracks, were to be at work no later than 05:45AM. A 6AM formation was conducted & head count. At that time we'd all fall out onto the street in front of the barracks and do PT. Exercises and a 2 miles run. That was usually over by 7AM and then they were released to clean up the barracks and eat breakfast (chow)………...Then At the 8AM formation , we would start the day of training or maintenance of tanks & vehicles in the motor pool. This was most likely the schedule Elvis would have followed as well. His day, like mine probably started around 4 AM.... :) 1/32 Armor Battalion "Bandits"

I can easily imagine how difficult it must have been for Elvis to leave the comfort of Graceland and the world of showbizz and after the recent passing of his mother to find himself alone in this room in a foreign country and just after the recent WW2. Thanks for sharing this wonderful and very informative piece of Elvis ' s life in Germany. This country is very beautiful. I was always thinking that Germany would be a dangerous place to visit. Maybe since time has gone by ,perhaps it would no longer be. You seem to be very comfortable there and the grounds look beautiful. I love how you are able to visit the places and stay in the same room Elvis was in. I would definitely enjoy visiting there but not sure if it will happen. There are some many places he was at and and stayed at. I would love to take a few months and travel to visit all these areas, but not sure how I'd make that happen. I really appreciate all your dedication to Elvis , to visit these places and tell us and show us all these wonderful and interesting stories about Elvis. Awesome work Mr. Spa Guy!!! I miss the village/town church bells in Germany...the balcony and patio doors and many other things from my time in Germany. No in general they do not have air conditioning in Germany/Europe. Remember those U. S. Army fatigues/uniforms. No place like home...America though. Thanks again and tighten up back at you Mr. Spa Guy.

Spa Guy , as I said in my other comment, I really enjoy learning more and more about Elvis ' s life , as I follow you on this amazing journey. I was thinking how much it would mean to me if you could find out where Elvis was and what he was doing on June 6, 1959. As this is the day I was born. He probably was in Germany, still serving his time in the army; but I would love to know if possible what he was up to on that day. Would you be willing to investigate this ?? I wonder why there are two matteresses on the bed instead of just a one large (king or queen) one? Maybe European style? Also i think the reason for the high ceilings are because hot air rises so that was one way to try to make the room cooler in summer.

So this was 60 years ago this year that Elvis was there. Billy I read Elvis left his guitar there and the hotel still has it. Did you see it while you were there? I don't remember seeing it in any of your videos. Please correct me if I am wrong.
