I don't know how I missed this one. I am glad that Elvis had her to take care of him. Thank you so much Billy, Trey and others. Nancy sadly passed away in 2022 but God Bless her for all she did. May she rest in peace.

My friend is actually good friends with Nancy. She has stayed with her at her house a few times. Nancy still has some things from Graceland that she was allowed to take when leaving. One day while eating breakfast Nancy tells my friend, "You know that was his favorite bowl", referring to the bowl my friend was eating out of. She about fainted knowing she was eating out of Elvis' bowl!

I bought her book a while ago and it was great! It’s not a very long book but the way the stories are told is like she is telling you in person. If you haven’t read it yet, please do you won’t regret it.

Horray! I am super excited you got to interview Nancy. I have both books. And I've been cooking from the Presley Family cookbook. These days its so easy to make most of these meals meat free and dairy free. Which makes this southern gal at heart happy, since I adore southern cooking.

What a sweet Lady Nancy Rooks is and her daughter. Daughter mentioned about 'the other side of Elvis'. Many people don't stop to realize how much Elvis would have had on his plate each day he woke up. He had to be much like a 'manager/referee of sorts' to all the entourage, each and every day. One thing i always think of in this regard is Charlie Hodge always looked like he was mesmerized by Elvis,or as if Elvis was his big brother, Charlie is always standing in the background starring at Elvis. :) Thanks again for the cool piece of the Elvis puzzle, SG.

Thank you Billy for bringing us these wonderful videos with interviews about the people that actually knew Elvis first hand and knew him as he was in real life. So sad that the majority of these people that knew him are dying off and all their stories are dying with them. We need more interviews with all these people before it is too late. It's fascinating to hear all the inside stories these people have to tell and getting a better picture of who Elvis was. He was human, he was real, he cried, he bleed...he had feelings...this is what we want to know...THE REAL ELVIS!

I met Nancy and her husband across from Graceland. I think it was 2004 or 2005. I took a picture with her got her to sign on a envelope for me that’s the only thing I could find at the time, because the book wasn’t out yet. She was telling me about her book coming out. I bought the book when it first came out. She’s a very sweet lady, I really enjoyed talking with her about Elvis. Thank you, much for your videos just love watching them.

Good on you Nancy to cook with less butter ! Ya knew too much was not good for Elvis health. One man from India who came to BC Canada worked at a sawmill where I worked for 2 years piling lumber. He ate 1 lb of butter every day !!! Like ice cream. Warned him & he just laughed. He was maybe in his 50s married & children. One day he never showed up for work. (You guessed it ....RIP) Ya can tell Nancy is a sweetheart & 27 yrs a cook for the King of entertainment. Soap opera "As the World Turns" & Nancy was & is in the greatest soap opera of all time. The life of Elvis who this to this day has his forever fans !
