Watching some of the older ones again. I can just see that lady running with kids to see Elvis and he did always carry a Bible with him according to Linda and the Memphis Mofia guys. I have seen him many time with a Bible getting off and on planes. I heard Elvis say in an interview once that they would take turns sleeping in the backseat of the car and sometimes get to their destination just in time to clean up and make it to preform. Love this early history of Elvis. He worked so hard. It had to be hard being Elvis. The bigger he got the more people wanted a piece of him. I really appreciate you getting all of this Elvis history 8n tape. Thank you Billy.

Loved the story about the daughter asking her neighbor to mind her baby so she could literally *run* out to the airport to wait for Elvis' plane to fly in, and ending up escorting the neighbor's kids out there as well ... and her saying it looked like a Bible that Elvis was holding when he arrived. Looking forward to the video featuring Billie May Smith. Thanks Billy and Ted! Cheers!

Sign of our times with affordable high definition cameras and KZbin that the Spa Guy can document all of these Elvis encounters 40+ years later and when many witnesses are still around. All of this would have been a little harder to do years earlier but then again the Spa Guy is high energy to get the job done. I’ve been marathon watching this weekend where he traveled to Vegas, California, and Germany. Incredible hard work.

You did it again my friend Spa Guy. The ladies were so nice showing you the room in the motel. They could have said anything about Elvis but were so honest and said they couldn’t remember about the cars etc. Wish I was running down the street after the lady to see Elvis at the airport when his plane arrived. “Elvis looking in the mirror and combing his hair” Wow I would have had no knees and melted to the ground. 😂😉 Anyway thanks for more beautiful stories. Waiting for the next video. All the best. Take care and have fun during a Elvis Week. Don’t forget to say hi 😘 to Elvis for me. He must be around watching everyone and so happy to see how much he is loved by all of us. All the best. Take care❤️🕺🏻🙏🏼

I grew up in Kingsport, but his being there was a good 16 years before my time. Reportedly, his show started at 8:00 at the Civic and he sang: Rock Around The Clock, Mystery Train, Milkcow Blues Boogie, and Love You Because during the show. I had seen that photo of the restaurant where he had dinner, it was long gone as far back as I recall. I was told it was torn down to make way for a church parking lot. He was an amazing talent and it was a-shame he became addicted to drugs and died so young, but looking at his touring schedule, even back in those early years, there is just no way anyone could have kept that going without some “chemical assistance”!

Idea for a video B??? :) I am assuming that in this time in their lives, that Scotty Moore was doing their bookings still. What a hard job that must have been. Booking, Performing & Driving.Setting up dates and meetings with Radio Stations & DJs., coordinating Motels and food ..and ON to the next town. Countless phone calls Im sure. I booked my band in Germany and I know it was difficult at times. To keep the gigs coming with as little down time as possible. Thought that would be an interesting look at Scottys job in all of this. OK Thanks :) Herb

Billy, I live in Bristol, Tennessee about 30 minutes from where Elvis played in September of 55. I read a cute story and heard an elderly lady who said she knew Billie Smith from school. I wish I would have ask her name but I was so engrossed in her story that I forgot to even ask her. Anyhow she said that Billie Smith said that she and Elvis ate pepperoni pizza together and the other guys ate club sandwiches from Jimmy's Resterant. A reporter that was reporting news about Elvis said Billy Rae Smith wanted to cruise Broad Street which is still a popular cruiseing street located down town in Kingsport. He said Billie said that they were in Elvis's cadillac when Billie's boyfriend who people called Cooty pulled up beside of them at a red light. They said Billie rolled down the window of Elvis's cadillac and yelled "Come to my house, there is someone I want you to meet". They said that she invited Elvis in and while they were sitting at her kitchen table talking her boyfriend showed up. They said Elvis told the other guys..."I haft to go, I am breaking this guy's heart". Billy Rae Smith told the reporter that Elvis gave her a goodnight kiss and left. He said Billie Smith said Elvis sure could kiss. So Spa Guy, I sure am interested in hearing her story. I don t know if her name is Billie Mae or Billie Rae. I have always heard that location was where the Presbyterian Church is at. This is the story that the reporter said Billie told him right after it happened so I am excited to hear her story all of these decades later. I know that you will get the true story. Please ask her if she and Elvis ate pepperoni pizza together. Thank you so much for all of your great video's and interviews about the best entertainer in history. Take Care and God Bless
