We were stationed in Spain for three years and loved every minute. Our neighbors and Spanish co-workers were warm, friendly and fun. My heart breaks for Spain and the US in all the floods. A world wide climate change plan must be created and for those countries who fail to comply an embargo on their goods put in place to make it hard for them to not comply.

They have been clearing the roads to get in. Bridges, roads are destroyed or full of cars, trucks, debris. They also need to check downed powerlines. Theres so much damage this took a couple days of round the clock work. Tomorrow should see more food and aid and it will get better as cars are removed.

I'm sorry this happened. Very unexpected and much more severe than first stories came out. Emergency services look first for those trapped in the direst of situations, such as in the water, mud, cars or critically injured. It takes a couple days minimum to get ground aid in, as all the roads/bridges are blocked or destroyed and powerlines need to be checked before the vehicles can pass through. The food, water and supply aid will start to come in now that these things are getting cleared. Little by little and day by day recovery will happen.

Soy de Valencia y tengo que deciros que el gobierno de nuestra comunidad ha actuado de forma negligente porque a las 7:30 de la mañana del Martes, el Presidente de la Comunidad Valenciana Carlos Mazón, tenía constancia de avisos por alerta roja con riesgos extremos por inundaciones e hizo caso omiso de dicha alarma. A las 12:30 de ese mismo día el Presidente dio una rueda de prensa para comunicar que la tormenta iba a amainar sobre las 18:00 y, sin embargo, a las 20:00, sólo dos horas después, nos llegó un aviso a nuestros teléfonos móviles para que nos quedásemos en nuestras casas, cuando ya era tarde y la mayoría de la población estaba volviendo de sus trabajos y el agua estaba entrando en tromba en las ciudades. Responsabilidad criminal de las empresas y del gobierno por obligar a los ciudadanos a ir a trabajar en un día con enorme posibilidad de indundaciones (de la que se tenía constancia desde primera hora de la mañana), poniendo el curso de la economía por delante de las propias vidas de las personas.

This is truly frightening because it was so random and unexpected. That means we cannot predict future weather events. Conspiracy theorists may have a point about climate terrorism but that doesn't get us any closer to avoiding and surviving.

I usually try to be respectful but the judgement from heaven is one I wouldn't want. They refuse to repent and apologize for their history. God told pharaoh to let his people go, to at least repent and he too chose arrogance. I am not even pro reparations or anything. The Lord in heaven wrote about the destruction of Edom.
