Amazon does not ask for my social security number in the USA or my Cedula number in the Dominican Republic. If you asked me for the equivalent of my SSN to deliver a package, I would feel weird about it.

In the last 2 months alone, over 10 people have been murdered by foreigners, and many more violently assaulted. Mostly committed by Mahgrebis. 2 Guardia Civiles murdered by a Moroccan. This is especially an issue in Cataluña, where many towns and villages have been ruined by 'Jovenlandeses'. No, tourism isn't the issue in Spain, it's 'los Moros'.

6.5K issued golden visas at 0.5MM euro was worth 3.25 billion to Spain. Seems pointless to abandon a passive income stream like that.

We have the same problem here on Rhodes and all over Greece with arson. You hear different reasons, many of which you have indicated.

I have been coming to the Costa del Sol for the last 25 years and few times each year. I have never seen so many immigrants as this year.

Don't you think it weird that spanish complain about tourists and yet complains about losing tourism and jobs...unless people are in the outback...EVERYTHING HAS GONE UP IN PRICE.... EVERYWHERE... name anything that's reduced in cost... grow up.

As an American of Basque roots I'm taking advantage of the Golden Visa so I can move to the Basque country. Last time I chacked, I'm not an oligarch. When I heard it would be going away, I accelerated my plans (it's VERY expensive for a regular person) and despite it being hard to do it at this exact moment, I feel lucky to have just enough to make it happen before 2025 comes around.

What is happening in the countries with immigration issues is not xenophobia, I would say it is aporophobia (phobia of poor and disadvantaged people).

Imagine dumping 20 thousand Haitians into a town of 60 thousand overnight. Imagine repeating the same in multiple communities. I am a Dominican, and they say we will enrich and improve the communities. As a Dominican, I do not see that happening in the Bronx, Paterson, East Orange, etc. I see the ghettos expanding. I had to move twice because the ghettos catch up with you. I will run out of places to move to. It is hard to tell people to stop blasting loud music out of their cars, it is hard to tell them to stop speeding in residential areas, it is hard to tell them to stop opening the windows of their cars and dumping garbage on the road; it is hard to say to them to not have their phones on speaker inside the elevator. Imagine going to a park and you see MS-13 members at Holmdel Park in NJ. Do you feel like returning with your 6-year-old daughter to play at the playground?

@@drob4575 I did not say it was a crime; I said those are the tiny little things you see in the Bronx, Paterson, Clifton, etc. Also, I might have mentioned hanging underwear, smoking pot in public places, and speaking loudly. It does have everything to do with Spain. You believe that allowing many Africans into Spain will make it better. Well, I am telling you what happens when you do that. It is your country, and you can do whatever you want with it.

@@drob4575 Something else: the things I mentioned are not just behaviors of the youth; they don’t act like they do in Norway or Switzerland. Also, the behavior I am talking about does not come from teenagers. I am describing 40-year-olds.

What he is offering us is a chilling example of how mass immigration can negatively impact a community and i would suggest that dumping rubbish in the street is in fact a crime. Take a chill pill @@drob4575

I have visited Menorca/Majorca for over 50 years, but never again. Nothing to do with alleged "climate change" but rather the attitude of the Spaniards who have made tourists, particularly British tourists, feel unwelcome this year. I am not alone. I know of at least 10 people who won't be returning either. Refugees welcome....you can have them, but they surely won't grow your economy!
