Spain News Update: On the Hunt

I am an immigrant and I went to Spain. I loved it. I did not see as bad immigration as in the USA. I loved the fact that I could interact with locals. When you travel to certain countries you cant find locals. I went to England and in London all the people I saw were not from England. I believe keeping the local culture is a valuable thing. Some want to turn everything into the USA. DONT DO THAT! KEEP YOUR CULTURE!

The Golden Visa being scrapped makes me sad - as an American looking to purchase a property in the Basque Country in the next few years to live full-time, not as an investment property. I was just a little too late. I do feel that the lack of affordable housing is not due to this visa scheme - there are just not enough people taking advantage of it to make that much of a difference.

I’d agree with that. Golden visas cannot be the problem. Must be less than 1%

Scrap the golden visa replace with unregulated illegal immigrants provided for by the state .

Some places on the internet are saying the Golden Visa is not ending. 🤷‍♂️

Italy immigration policies do not work. What policies are they using that work? As I have said many times on this platform, if the US and EU would leave the rest of the world to prosper and choose their own leaders, immigrants would stop coming. Sending immigration to Albania resolves nothing. Keep up the good work, Stu.

I've given up on Michelin Places here in Spain. Definitely a different standard here than in the US. We have eaten at 5 Michelin Places in the last year and have been disappointed in the food and especially service. In the US everything has to be perfect for even a mention. But here in Spain, I've found the service at the Michelin Places not even as good as a well trained staff feom VIPs or Applebee's in the states. Eating at the local places are a much better deal and often has better service.

Eso es muy complicado , sí , siempre hay un plato o alimento específico de todos los rincones de España. Pero luego hay tantas variantes como amas de casa o cocineros. Las mejores comidas de España son las que hacen las mujeres y hombres en sus domicilios. Esa es la mejor comida. Otra cosa es la comida de diseño y otra la comida para turistas. Hay que vigilar.
