We have the issue with brush fires here in the deserts of Arizona. Ours are a lot of times caused by people throwing cigarettes out car windows . I saw one time the person was on the side of the road with trouble with their car they threw the cigarette on the ground and started a brush fire and caught their car on fire. So they ended up with a burnt out car and a major fine.

Been back and forth in between Manchester and Madrid every 2-3 weeks for the last 8 months. Usually flew with Ryanair and sometimes bought tickets for £30 return. Getting through Barajas T1 takes 10 mins including security and passport checks. Manchester airport used to be more chaotic until they’ve opened T3 a couple months ago. If you avoid British half terms (school breaks) then it’s quick and cheap. Thankfully I will no longer need to do these trips as I’ve moved into my casita in Madrid as of 1st June 😊

Talking about the gas from Algeria issue... in the UK we used to refine a lot of our own petrol / diesel needs. But of course, with the green levy and its associated 25% tax on our home energy bills and massively increased costs in industry,, we have outsourced much of our fuel production to - yes you guessed it - Russia. So we are now looking at paying 2 quid a litre for diesel compared to around 1.30 a few months ago. Go green go poor.
@annabell56462 жыл бұрын
In the UK only 14% of fuel from Russia .
@kevtheargonut2 жыл бұрын
@@annabell5646 I had summarised. 8% of our oil and 18% of our diesel was the figure. It is a lot more if you include the other countries we buy it from since stopping our U.K. refineries. The cost of production in the U.K. with 25% extra to pay for green energy nonsense means that we have much less refining today and import from a lot of countries, including Russia. With their action in Ukraine, it has created pressure in the market, prices have gone up, we import more than we should and those prices are reflected on the forecourt. But our net zero figures look good because we exported it and made ourselves hostage to the import market. I say again, and maybe modify it a bit, pretend to go green, go poor.

Guys just to let you know that a lot of holiday resorts like Torremolinos and Benidorm are experiencing staffing problems in restaurants and bars with some having to close due to lack of staff (most of these usually employed British staff). Stuart it maybe an idea do a video on both how Spanish businesses and British staff looking to work in Spain can be put in place. I think a TIE card and NIE number can be obtained. I think it’s important that we don’t let these Spanish businesses suffer (after all we’ve all enjoyed the hospitality on our holidays) I know if like me you still have a valid EU passport this also help. Please Stuart let’s help these hospitality businesses recruit British staff

I definitely would NOT recommend Valencia for anyone with children. Not a place to raise children. The sexual degeneracy, drugs and adult party atmosphere is NOT "family friendly" in any way. I love the north of Spain. 💛 It's wholly a different world up there. The villages, in particular, offer friendly, welcoming, close knit, safe communities for young families. The best place I've ever lived in my life was a tiny village just outside of Huesca city. Only about an hours drive from Zaragoza.

@@rql7397 "If you're looking for it"??? Lol Hookers on most roundabouts, massive billboards with soft porn advertising brothels all over the city (and there are A LOT of them in both the city and the rural areas alike) including "nice" areas like Campolivar, little cards with pornographic images littering city streets and strewn over parked cars (try explaining to your children what they're all about when they pick them up off the streets), street vending machines with a variety of sex toys (we had some just up the street from us in Naquera, which is a nice little village just outside of Valencia city), full on pornography on free-to-air TV, etc etc. You really have to be able to afford to send your children to private, or at least concertado schools in and around Valencia city because the public ones are very rough and can be very violent. Cocaine use is also very widespread and you don't need to "go looking for it" to see teens sniffing it off park benches. Walking around city streets at night is extremely dangerous, especially in areas where there are a lot of N African blokes hanging around, which is most of your central area.

Hi Stu, in my experience the most po-faced border guards are Homeland Security in the USA. You just hand over your documents and try to look as miserable as your passport photo. Don't ever try to crack a joke or interact or you get a withering look in return and remember they have guns!!!!!
@santoriniblue84132 жыл бұрын
I agree they are among the "top" unfriendly. My wife worked in IBs intercontinental flights, so like other relatives, you can benefit from a stay abroad. Some of the flight crew reckoned that when the US was cited, it was among the one that got the most cold feet response, due to the cues and entry procedures.

With the government cocking up energy supplies as badly as it is (and let's not just lazily put it all on Putin) I don't have a good feeling about the government tampering with the food distribution networks in the context of "Food waste" laws.

Hi Stuart, I am back from Cantabria. Do you remember talking about those extra costs Submissiones what some Banks charged etc.? Whilst in Cantabria I went to La Caixa and asked them about it and do I need another product from the Caixa to prevent these costs? Well it turns out that as my account does not have much action "de transferencias" etc. I have this type of account. However if I wish to make a transfer some money, I will not be charged extra for it.

Semi-solution get your risk down by taking one direct flight even if it means having to take a train after. Also carry-on luggage backpack and a little pull carry on, so you can walk away with your stuff if there's a made in hell problem. I'm thinking a flight and off hours ...airport's probably quieter at midnight. Any other suggestions?

@ JM, you sir don't know what you're talking about, Pedro Sanchez had a deal with Algeria to get their gas but he turned around and went against Algeria to back Morocco that he doesn't get a squat from them. And NO, Algeria doesn't back up Russia and neither could they. P Sanchez effed it up and it's up to him to fix it. Spain & Europe needs the gas from Algeria not the illegal immigrants from Morocco that's draining the Spanish economy.
