What an amazing story in Barcelona! Holy smokes, THAT is good political theater! Much more entertaining and less damaging to the average person than our US-brand of political theater (from abroad, this Puigdemont story is pure absurdist comedy, unlike our brand of political theater -- absurdist horror/tragedy). At first I was indifferent but interested in the story; now it feels like we should be rooting for Puig a tiny bit. (I'm not belittling Spanish politics, I promise, but c'mon! A giant public speech then *poof* into thin air?)

Yes. It was a comical and harmless bisonism. Fuigdement pretended to enter the parliament to prevent the person who won it democratically from being elected president of Catalonia. The "gigantic" public was about 1000 people, all elderly gentlemen and ladies.

Okay in my defense it didn't sound like it was a joke, and yes kids know the bell system on buses, I'm surprised that they didn't keep ringing it. And again how in the world did the parents forget them, sounds sus to me, something is wrong with the parents TBH.

At the risk of being a bit of a 'wet blanket', imho some things should be off limits for deadpan humour; this includes anything which in any way could put any very young children at risk! This includes potentially 'encouraging' other stupid/self absorbed parents being able to justify their irresponsible behaviour!

Not sure why anyone would have a go at parents who left their kids on the bus. In a foreign country where everything is just a bit different, it is easy to get distracted. I remember my mother loosing me in a US supermarket and another time in New York crowds. A moments distraction is all it takes and humans make mistakes. I seem to remember David Cameron leaving his children in a restaurant. No one had a go at him or his wife, not even opposition politicians.

Can anyone access Netflix in Spain if they have a VPN on? Each time I try (other programmes work such as BBC iPlayer), but Netflix refused to load until I turn off the VPN..

sorry to say, both the ¨native¨ and the immigrants are product of bad capitalism. The argument is, for example, MacDonalds wants cheap labor/labour ..... the ¨native¨ whether it be a Spanish native or English native or US native can´t work for those low wages, so, MacD antagonizes cheap labour from other countries to fluff up those shareholders.

Spain's tourism is representative of 13% of their GDP this year alone this would be such a black hole in finances, we have exactly the same thing here in the West country and indeed other parts of the country , as far as housing is concerned I'd say we have a bigger housing crisis than Spain , there's no empty England like there is an empty Spain in places, talk about shooting yourself in the foot love the content as always Stu .

Great. I've been saying this for months. I'm 71 and way back in my 20's it was a huge issue in many towns,villages and cities in tourist areas. For example, from my own experience.......Salcombe and Dartmouth in Devon. There are 100's to be honest as you will know
