This was the first overland trip out with the Little overland trailer, had a great adventure down in the ghost valley doing some exploring and camping in a new spot. Cooked some spam steaks with ‪@FIREMAPLE-GEAR‬ and relaxed with a fire.

Used to hate the idea to Spam until I ate it in the Philippines and South Korea when I was in the Marine Corps. That shit is really good in Budae Jjigae Ramen! Try getting a can of hot and spicy Spam and a bag of Korean ramen noodles (complete package ) and make that for dinner out camping. Nice spot and those mountains are freaking awesome. TJ and camper are kicking ass out there.

12:46 When I was back packing I had a nylon laundry as a grub bag so I could see the different items with out emptying it. I landed at this one campsite and started setting up my tent I did not have the grub bag on the ground for 5 min and there was a little chipmunk trying to drag my bag away, it only weighed 20x what he did, but he was trying to steal it. 17:55 When you are out camping, even Spam tastes good.

@@BackCountryWrenching We went glamping at Aspen Crossing with friends from Calgary on the May long, there was lots of rain and a pretty good wind storm. It was like a shake down trip to make sure everything was packed properly and working. Also we have a puppy now so we have to accommodate for that.

Never journeyed west of Calgary for that reason alone. Upper old man, castle etc, was my Backcountry. Many years ago even on long weekends would seldom even see anyone, were few restrictions where you could go offroad. Very different now, there slowly shutting it down, nothing wrong with bush partying when you're a kid, though destroying the place... I don't get it. Old saying.. 'Keep your city out of my country'.
