"Only When You Leave" Laying in the after glow, I only want to learn what you know, But now you're leaving... How many hearts must you break? How many calls must I make? But now you're leaving... In this world, all that I choose has come unbearable But love is in your touch Ooh, it's killing me so much Only when you leave I need to love you And when the action has all gone I'm just a little fool enough to need you Fool enough too long Only when you leave, you'll leave in danger Oh, I'll make sure that you pay So give a little passion to a stranger And take this soul away I only want to make this things last, So how could this have gone so fast? And now you're leaving... How many times must I learn? It' s only when you've gone that I burn, And now you're leaving... In the end, all that I left has come unbearable It's hard to change your mind, So leave it all behind Only when you leave I need to love you And when the action has all gone I'm just a little fool enough to need you Fool enough too long Only when you leave, you'll leave in danger Oh, I'll make sure that you pay So give a little passion to a stranger And take this soul away

His vocal range is massive, clear & he has great control over it! He mentioned he has a good work ethic, so I was thinking he's very disciplined on taking care of his voice. Such a true artist. 🥰 P.S. sorry for any grammatical errors, English is not my native language.

Like Wet Wet Wet with Marti Pellow singing, Spandau Ballet with Tony Hadley up front, a very fine group of players, some great tunes and a sound of their own were one of the better bands to rise up in the 80s. They mightn't have qualified as 'cool' with the critics, but like Tears for Fears, the Police, Style Council, Sade, Talk Talk and those various other notable major chart toppers they were an integral part of a decade that saw music rise up from the 70s excesses of prog, the fading of glam, the brief outburst of punk and the rot of disco, to make pop accessible, fun, and often rather good. My only complaint about this clip is Hadley's insistence of wearing a leather coat on what is obviously a hot day. I put the choice down to 'show biz', but still.... Anyway, brilliant tune and great performance. The 80s weren't as bad as the cynics would have us believe.
