Not only that because we have historical facts that we used Ancient System of Writings or Alphabets & Language known as Baybayin a thousand or perhaps hundreds years old before Magellan set foot in our shores. It was replaced only by Roman/Latin Alphabets/Letters as a result of Spanish colonization. Baybayin have the same Vowels & Consonants as equivalent to Roman/Latin Letters/Alphabets.In terms of sounds & Intonation is the same both in pronunciation and in numbers ex: A E I O U vowel & B D C etc.. Consonants etc, etc. At the present very few Filipinos can write & read using that system only those scholars of archiologist who studied at the University of the Philippines! The relic found of our Ancient Writings System was found in Stone in Island of Masbate now in the Philippines Museum & a Hundreds of years old bamboo saved and preserved by a Jesuit Priest/Friar have ancient Writings of Baybayin now in a Roman Catholic Church Museum in Vatican, Rome Italy! The Baybayin have a similarity with Ancient Hindu/Sangkrit scripture of ancient India but it is not Indian in origin only some figures when we write or drawn!

Marcelito is famous for being able to sing in a female soprano voice, as well a male tenor or baritone voice. What you heard here is just one of his voices. He can imitate any singer, man or woman, even duets in any language or genre. I assume he just imitates the phonetic sounds even if he doesn't know the language of the original singer/singers.

Hi Jez! As you've found in your responses to your vlog, Marcelito is a Filipino from the Philippines. Just a bit of history of the Island Nation, it use to be a Spanish colony for more than 300 years. As a result the native people had to learn Spanish. So you will see Spanish sir names across the country. Similarly to my little island of Guam. Spain missed us in their first travel through the Pacific when they landed in the Philippines. You can guess where Magellan got the name for the islands he sailed into. Notice, I didn't say discovered. Any way, during the 300+ years of colonization, the native language called Tagalog adopted many Spanish words. As you've noticed, the clarity of his use of Spanish words was mostly accurate, though Spanish is not his national language. I would say now, if you want to meet a fluent Spanish speaker from the Philippines you'd have to speak to the elders. The lolas and lolos of the country. Those who've survived the colonization of Spain over the islands and then the switch over to American rule after the Spanish/ American War. Guam went through similar changes. If you listen to a native Tagalog speaker you can get a clue as to what is being talked about because of small similarities between Tagalog and Spanish.

Please, react to his cover of The prayer at wish bus 107.5 radio station. I am sure you will enjoy as much as the millions of followers. He can't speak Spanish at all, he only learn the sounds to sing this song, so it is amazing his intonation and most of the words.

Oh yeah Marcelito Pomoy he almost made it in "America Got Talent" but a lot people all over the world were disappointed on Simon & the judges for not having him as the grand winner of AGT. Of course he can pronounce Spanish fairly well coz he is from the Philippines which has tons of Spanish words incorporated in the Pilipino language.

He's from the Philippines, and there is a considerable sprinkling of Spanish words in the Filipino dictionary, considering the history of our country. There are provinces here in our country where "colloquial" Spanish is spoken.

Spanish language it's not hard to speak here in the Philippines because in college we had Spanish subject and in Zamboanga province their local dialect there is chavacano, most of our daily spoken words are tagalog and spanish word.

Then to his cover of Celine Dion’s Power of Love also at the Wish Bus. After that react to his performances at the America’s Got Talent The Champions. (All four songs). For audition The Prayer. For semi finals Con Te Partiro. For finals Beauty and the Beast. For Champions Unite Wr Are The Champions by Freddy Mercury. I assure you you will be more amazed. He never had any vocal lessons nor training whatsoever. Watch him at the Ellen de GENERES show. He doesn’t even speak English. But he’s learning now you will know more about his background when you watch him at the Ellen show. Thanks for reacting to him. More suggestions coming 🙏🙏🙏💕💕💕
