@@CHRISTWARLORDIAMGOD he already told you. Keep watching movies and shows in the language you want to learn
@weirdasheechul3 жыл бұрын
@@CHRISTWARLORDIAMGOD I also learned English as a second language and what they said is completely right. For me it was my passion for music that made learning English so easy, in fact I started learning it after watching some cheesy musical show. How and why it works is easy, it's because you immere yourself in the culture and you get more and more familiar everyday as you hear the same sentences and words. Movies, shows, music are amazing for your listening skills. For writing and reading skills I strongly recommend buying a book that you've already read in your native tongue and reading it in the language you want to learn. Highlight every single word you dont know in the book. Reading will be easy though because you know what the book is about and your mind will pick up on words. I recently opened the hunger games book I bought in English in high school, now I know every single word I highlighted at that time. I hope this helps for anyone trying to learn a new language!

Yeah you really have to do some studying before progressing past those earlier lessons. To use these as listening exercises and I’ve been speaking Spanish for many years. They go really quickly and use advanced formulations of sentences really early (even at 55 mins in.)

I've been living in Peru since 1 year and 8 months now and I really needed this, thanks! I won't swallow everything in one time, but poco a poco. People here have a terrible dialect btw, making words shorter, combining them, mumbling, using different words like tomar in stead of beber. It makes it interesting though. As for the questions at 15:00 Juan lee libros? Is surprised asking. Juan lee libros, ¿no? is searching for confirmation and the third one Lee Juan libros? is more asked out of curiosity. I think that's a pretty accurate way to explain the subtile differences of asking questions. Of course, the right intonation in different situations is important.

Good video! My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!

I found that this was really useful to begin to learn the language for the 1st hour. And then in the second hour, the lessons jumped light years ahead. You go from learning one or two words or how the different letters sound, to being asked questions over a prolonged conversation, with vocabulary words you haven't even remotely heard before. I would be very surprised if anyone learned anything after the 1st hour. (Unless in the 3rd hour, things step way back again.)

As soon as it hit the 45 minute mark I was so confused, they were having full conversations in Spanish they didn’t teach and then had the audacity to ask me to answer hahahah
@Joejoe-dd2sc2 жыл бұрын
Holy shit you're right. I was like "yeah, they're going slow and explaining in great detail of the basics"... then bam after the 47 minute mark, they start speaking in full sentences and expecting you to know how to respond afterwards. LOL. Definitely not useful after the first hour.

Agreed! The listening part was hard for me I understood absolutely nothing
@mentaya11 Жыл бұрын
I found it very useful, personally. Sure, before, I listened to it idly while playing a game, taking mental notes, and after, it required my full focus. Still, they use the words they taught you and by following the pictures and context clues I was able to get many of the first few right and narrow down the rest. It even translates the phrases after so you learn the new phrases. It's giving practical, usable Spanish phrases and building on itself. Don't get me wrong; it totally jumps off the deep end, difficulty-wise, but immersion is the best learning environment anyway. I'm learning a lot from continuing on, even if I only take a bit at a time.
@RichardHarlos Жыл бұрын
@@mentaya11 wrote, _"they use the words they taught you"_ No, they do not. Basic greetings and pronounciation to full-on conversations consisting of words that were NOT previously introduced. If you felt comfortable, I'd guess that you were exposed to Spanish before this video. Even with the pictures, the dialog as well as the question following it were unintelligible to me -- someone with no previous Spanish.

4 years ago, my dad started learning Spanish and got got better and better each day and started to drop all his friends for new friends and all his new friends are speak Spanish . In 2017, on September 20, he had a week off of work and flew to a bunch of places. He went to Columbia. Then Japan, then he went to Mexico to meet with his friends. His week was almost over and he had to fly back home to start working but he decided to quit his job and stay in Mexico for 2 months. He didn’t tell us he was going to Mexico, so we were worried where he was. He didn’t pick up his phone or call back or anything. Turn out, he was dating a woman which first language was Spanish and her second language was English. Months and Months later, he got the woman pregnant at 18, they had 1 child and he took care of that family for one year. Left Mexico, came back and my mom and him got a divorce. He took all his stuff to Mexico, lived with the teenager and his child. I still FaceTime him sometimes. Keep in mind my dad is 27 and she’s 18. Now their baby is is about 3 years old. It’s a girl. They named it Krystal Marie . On Christmas my mom says I can fly to Mexico and meet Krystal for the first time !
