@Leon_Lui4 жыл бұрын
@@vapor7653 nah actually people in low 6 digit transitioning to high 5 digit are s ranking 5 stars and getting there first 200pp plays maybe 250pp. if u are in the 3* range then stamina and speed is definitely nothing to worry about at this stage. Just enjoy the game and play fun maps or songs that you like and start building the foundations of basic skill sets like just getting to know ur sense and listening to rhythm and be able to read ar7-8 and doing some slow triple taps instead of trying to go straight to in depth specific skill sets like speed when there wont be any speed related maps in 3 star range or even 4 star range. If you started to try and work on speed at this range then that means learning higher ar but whats the point when theres isnt even any maps that are above 9.5ar in the 4 star range let alone 3 star. Also speed includes having to learn higher bpm streams......... like there are gonna be any streams in 3 star range. It's just like in any other game or sports for example: trying to learn how to aim a football when u kick it to go right to the top right when u havent even gotten a proper feel of the ball and no experience. things like these just come over time once u know how powerful u need to hit and where u start ur run and how to hit the ball with ur foot. Then you start focusing on one skill set if u want like aim or control over the curve. In other words just play the damn game while its the most fun and just play like you would in any other game. If you're looking to get better then this video aint for you. you just need to keep playing and slowly you will find ur mechanics are getting a bit better then start trying slightly higher star ratings. only like 0.1-0.3 stars higher. For some people it takes longer then others
@erniebarguckle4 жыл бұрын
prob just dont farm too hard lol and you'll be fine with tapping at 3* time and ye I'm low 6 digit and a decent play is when I fc 5-5.5 star a good play would be 5.5+ (I'm talking tv size easy farm because thats what most people know I'd say)

It's all about staying super relaxed and moving as smooth as possible. I aim spaced streams the same way I do alternatey maps like "The Creator". I also use the approach circles to tell where my cursor should be on the stream. I look at the approach circles in one big group and see where they're closest to the beat and aim around that timing window. It's a little tricky to get used too but now it's automatic for me, looking and seeing where the stream is kinda flowing in time with the music and I just let my cursor flow with it
@demise.87484 жыл бұрын
Also in my opinion for a 180bpm spaced stream you even need to be able to stream 190bpm flawlessly. So you can do 180 in your sleep and are very relaxed while streaming so you dont have to Focus on your tapping and can focus on your aim. Also when you only can do 180 and you start understreaming youre fucked so having the ability to stream faster to catch up helps a lot.

I have watched a lot of RyuK (Ryan) over the years and he has shown me MANY shortcuts to streaming along my osu! journey. I’ve just reached being able to stream 200bpm consistently over about a year and a half’s time of playing osu! Consistently(have been nonchalantly playing for 4-5 years). Spare’s techniques are spot on and pretty much the exact same pointers as RyuK would give from time to time on stream. Just want to say take to every little detail he added in this video, and streaming will change over time. PATIENCE, is the biggest factor in streaming...patience and consistency with practice. Honestly, thank you so much for making this Spare!!! I’m a stream player and it makes me sad not seeing many coming up through the ranks over the past year to two years, THE STREAM RACE IS DYING. I’m hoping this will revamp it and add a lot more variety to players!!:) I see a lot of 1-2 Andy’s and if they’re not 1-2’s they just HR and DT MORE 1-2’s!! More players need to learn streams or else they’re going to be Stuck at more hard spots simply bc they won’t have the jump stamina. Like just stream???4head...For some reason I’m very passionate about this game. Idk, it might be just bc I love music so much and I feel like osu! is definitely one of the REAL rewarding games out there. So, thank you so much spare for this video. The 1-2 Andy’s will appreciate later on how much this will teach them for finger control, stamina, bpm change’s, ACC, LITERALLY EVERYTHING. ALSO...KEEP CLIMBING BBY, I’m subbed on twitch and support. Glad ya down rage as much as ya used to ahahaha....GOODLUCK!!

I once found that my speed and stamina greatly increased when I tried to tap quietly. My keyboard is a bit loud, and my room is above my parents, so they sometimes complained when I'd play at night. So whenever it got late, I'd intentionally try to tap quieter, and removing the force I normally used when streaming really helped.

yo this actually works. deadass after i watched this video and focused on the aspect of not tapping as hard, i played some few heavy stream maps and crazy maps such as unpleasant sonata and burn this moment into the retina of my eye and my streams were more consistent, accurate, and fast. not to mention my single tapping speed got faster and my accuracy did improve on said maps since i didnt focus on tapping that much. you know those times where you just watch one thing or learn something immediately got better because you were just using the wrong technique? yeah. i just had that moment. thanks man

Very good video Spare, I want to say the lighter tapping part was something I started doing a few years ago after I believe Azer mentioned it during one of the HappyStick interviews, I used to tap really hard on my reds and once I started tapping lighter (just enough to actuate the switch), I had my stamina almost double from 20 circle to 40 on 180bpm within a few days, so that's been the first thing I tell friends when they start streaming from a while now, I think bad tapping techniques and habits can lock a lot of people into slow or almost non-existent improvement, so I'm glad you covered it well! The raising of the arm when losing stamina was actually something I haven't tried before, and I'm keen to try it out. If I have any new friends that start playing the game I'll probably link them this video because it's really short and sweet, and easy to understand and take mental notes of. Great video, I'm excited to see you possibly make more of these improvement or generally more serious styled videos.

Heya Spare, I saw your video just now when I was randomly looking for videos for improvement in osu. I have been trying to improve my skill at the game (i.e. aim, consistency, streams, etc) bit by bit for the past two years. Progress has been slow as I play on and off, but I have noticed some parallels on the advice you gave and the stuff I picked up while trying to make my playing as precise and comfortable as possible. It's interesting, and somewhat comforting because I seem to be on the right track this time unlike myself with the bad habits like the inconsistent and forceful tapping, among others. As for progress, I couldn't even pull off 3 to 5-hit bursts in the first few months of the game, but now there are top-performance moments where I can surprisingly do a long stream in various 6-star maps that I "commit osu suicide" to via NoFail since those levels are still beyond my skill level (I have only beaten a small handful without NF). This might be another bad habit of mine, so I shouldn't probably play maps I can't beat too much. Oh, and basically I can't do deathstreams that well yet but I can enter high-speed bursts and streams most of the time now, so yeah I guess there *has* been some progress (Even if it's from 2018 to 2022, with me still at 4-5 stars *laughs). You've inspired me to "git gud" at the game again, so thanks for making this video Mr. Spare. Have a pleasant day :>

I like top players perspectives on things like this, because the way the info is portrayed has subtle differences which might help someone, and and clear and concise (usually xD). This video rlly shows that, as so.ething such as lifting your hand when running out of stamina isn't something 90% of players know.. and information from just as knowledgeable and experienced players that give the same info sadly don't go around much... thus it's typically the top players where the info comes from.

A website that helped me greatly with idenfying my streaming problems was this one: ckrisirkc.github.io/osuStreamSpeed.js/newindex.html With the website I learned that my peak streaming performance for 8-20 clicks was 120 bpm at most and even dropping down low 90s often. This was a problem that gated tons of 5* maps for me and making them impossible even though I had no problems with bursts and accuracy at all. To improve my issue I spent the past 4 months constantly playing stream heavy maps going from 4,2* to 5,1* maps and improving my stream speed to whoping 170 bpm with an UR of 90 while having very little progress at my rank and often deranking for multiple weeks (my rank progression currently is a mess) EDIT: you light tapping tip is by far the best I got, it's very weird to use but I think there is a lot of potential that I can grab when I master it, thanks!

I watched a few videos about improving on osu, including this one, and in around 2 months, I went from struggling with 6 star maps to completing them, getting an A rank on some of them

I think I'll do my own video for this, but i found out that the sitting position is the MOST important thing to be aware of. No like the typical "have a straight back", but more like the sitting height and angle of your upper to lower arm. I always felt like I'm capable of doing long streams (not that speedy 240 ones, more like 200) and i've done them... but not on a regular basis. Recently I just changed my Height of my Chair (got new hydraulics if u can call them like this) and it changed my behaviour in a huge way. AND NOW i'm way more consistent and can easlily build up my skills with confident. Greetings, Maxlo

you said there was no secret sauce, but i think this video is it, at the very least it's given me a motivation boost, and just consciously trying not to slam my keys with sledgehammer force has improved my finger control, speed and stamina all ready, now i just need to be able to tap faster than 180bpm and i'm set

I made it to the first tip "tap lighter" and had a revelation. I've been stream/stamina training for about a month and a half and always clicked incredibly heavily, thought by making every click obvious I'd be able to control speed better. Paused the video after the first tip and just went and broke over 10 scores with tapping lighter. A ranked a 250bpm map with ease, can get through the 190bpm bon appetit stream map without feeling like I've lost any stamina whereas before I'd make it about 60 seconds in and struggle to play... time to watch the rest of the video now hahahaha

this video proved that spare would be the best anime protagonist during a fight he's losing, and speaks words of truth and wisdom, and within 2 flashbacks he unveils his hidden broken shounen bullshit ultimate bs power. with that being said, some really helpful advice for me! keep up the good work spare-senpai :P

I never even thought of how I tap, now I realize that, it sounds like I'm embedding my keycaps in my keyboard, this really helps, thanks

I am just a beginner and I follow all the pieces of advice in this video(altho I knew about them before) and my overall accuracy is currently at 99,60% and I can say that for those who are focusing on getting better, those few easy steps to be followed does help a lot, you should try them as well. I am very happy with my progress and plan to get even better.

Yo this is just amazing, lately i've been getting much better at 5 star stream maps because i also realised that if i try to relax i get more control over my streaming and i've been way better accuracy.

I totally agree with these. I noticed I could improve this way relatively recently when I changed to using silver switches on my keyboard. The smaller actuation force made me realize I was tapping harder than needed, which caused finger locking, so now I’m trying to train my brain and hand to not put much force into taps so I can do streams better and faster
