Another cool video Lance. Got chance to fit a rear wheel bearing and seal kit in a little gray Fergie last week!! Made a nice change from the usual heavier farm machinery I work on!! Sorry to hear about your Dad passing, only thing we're all sure of.

these videos really have helped me on my own engine rebuild but I really wish you would consider making TO30 set of rebuild videos because there seems to be quite a few differences. like when putting in the liners Loctite is not required, although since there is so little information on youtube I am not sure if holding the liners down with bolts and washers is necessary, but maybe using vasoline (not heat) on block and liner (comment on Yesterdays Tractor Forum) to slide them in place and tapping down with a Mallot. then when you set the liners in the information I have found says to put the piston ring assembly into the liners prior to inserting the liners into the block. also the difference in the timing chain on the 20 compared to the timing gears (no chain) on the 30. just a lot of difference in engine block assembly between the models

also in removing, servicing or replacing gasket, and reinstalling the TO30 oil pump. its a bit different. I have a few service manuals (talking about entire engine rebuild) and it helps but seeing it done is a lot easier than trying to read about it.

I would but we dont have the TO30 over here in Australia. We only had the standard Motor company engines and later in the MF35 we had the 3 cylinder Perkins.

Lance, as a working lad in UK trying to restore a ted 20 your vidios have been a great help & saved me a lot of money, a question please, in the cylinder head there is a brass tube in the water passage way that goes from front to rear of the head what is it for?, many thanks Eddie

That is just trying to ensure an even flow of coolant for the full length of the head.

Great video.. any advice on fitting pistons with conrods that don’t fit in cylinder/wet liners .. ie they have to go in from the bottom. An Old Fiat 25 tractor in Italy.

The old ones can be a pain but there is often a leading edge to help them in but I'm not sure on a Fiat I'm afraid.
