Marss saying that no one plays G&W for the love of it clearly does not remember Maister's Smash 4 G&W. That character was ranked in the E tier, #38/54, under characters like Robin and Duck Hunt. Maister does it for the love of the game. And for the love of the watch.

Game and watch was always my favorite character so him being top tier in ultimate makes me very happy. I never played his games i just played melee as a kid and he was the last character i unlocked and i thought he was so cool.

@@TeenXtacy I feel like Marss thinks that because Sonix's character is kind of the same character archetype as ZSS, while Cloud has completely different strengths and weaknesses. So Marss can easily see what Sonix is doing right because it's somewhat similar to what Marss is doing right when he's playing well. Meanwhile, when he watches Sparg0 play, his mindset is usually not ''oh wow, look at how Sparg0 mitigates his character's weaknesses''. Instead, he's thinking ''man I hate characters that can mash, I wish I could do the same thing''. ...All that to say I disagree with Marss and that guy in the chat, and I agree with the more popular opinion, which is that Sparg0 is fundamentally more skilled than Sonix.

@@legrandliseurtri7495Spargo is a fucking masher, if it was any other character, he wouldn't be as good (his Roy is also fucking annoying because... he's a masher, diff is Roy is easier to download, so he only plays it ocasionally). I also think Cloud is fucking cheesy and his playstyle is lame, he just doesn't have to worry about most things other characters have because his aerials have so much range and are so spammable

Someone in chat said that sonix is skillwise the best player, Marss said something that he can see it but if results and everything else speak for Sparg0 then its probably him, but the sentence with skill wise Sonix is the best player was taken out of context

Every spargo match I watch makes me think clouds such a shitter character, the hitbox leading his hurtbox on every move, has a special that punishes shield (unless you parry the last hit) a disgustingly powerful forward tilt, limit being a better version of KO punch, and being able to mash in disadvantage so safely
