Falcon! You are the man. My daughter's 2010 VW Beetle was misfiring on cylinders 2 and 4. I followed your video step-by-step and replaced all five ignition coils and all five spark plugs. Great video, our 05 Bettle w/2.5 OEM Spark Plugs were longer than the once’s the Auto Part stores had in their system did you happen to have that issue?

Very good demonstration and explanation. My 2013 Beetle is running rough during acceleration and higher speeds. The dealership wants to replace the fuel injectors and seals $3000 plus. From what I’ve read a tune up may fix the problem. What do you think? Should I replace the coils as well?

I would say no. Do plugs first and see how it behaves and if any check engine light codes come in.

I have a Cylinder 4 misfire on my 2007 new beetle 2.5 L. I changed the sparks plugs and coils and the light went off for a week and came back on. I then replaced the 4 fuel injector and the light came back on in a week. Still have the same code. I am going to try the connectors next.

Try replacing your mass airflow sensor

Don't you need to use dielectric grease on the coils and anti-seize on the spark plugs?
