We were able to get the last coil out by just removing the turbo hanger bolt and nut.

i need to do this, so you removed the rear bumper and the intercoolers to get to do this? I have to remove the bumper anyways to do some upgrades: new intercoolers (bigger ones), Y pipe, plenum, high flow air filter. SO i will do spark plugs at same time!

I’ve heard it can be done without removing intercoolers but i think it would be way harder. Yes, bumper cones off. Definitely take care of the plugs while in there!! You’ll be right there anyway. Good luck!

@@protectandswerve I did this just now! With the turbo air inlet and outlet disconnected, it was highly doable! I did all 6 spark plugs. The passengers side was way easier and less things in the way.

Good question. Hard to remember at this point, the process we had to go through. I was thinking we used a rachet wrench of some kind if it’s what I think you’re referring to. I remember something about the one bolt being difficult to reach I think. I’m sorry I can’t remember exactly.

It was easy, a closed end 8 or 9 mm wrench

It will come out. We didn’t think it would either but it did. You have to clock it / turn it a specific way and you will have to “flex” it a bit as well. I think I remember the head where the clip / plug goes in being aimed towards the front of the car. Maybe more towards the drivers door I think. Either way, we messed with it a good bit and it finally cleared everything by clocking it just right and flexing it back towards the back of the car I think. Good luck! Hope this helps.
