NGK recommend finger tight then one half a turn for that size plug if you dont have a torque wrench.

Probably even better to invest in a torquewrench, so you can tighten with correct torque. Also to make sure you have an even torque on all 4 plugs, meaning also the same depth.

How's that socket kit working out for you a year later? Still as great as this review? Also, you saved my a$$ with this video, you show step by step with a proper angle on how to change these. I just changed mine with your video. Hardest part was getting the wiring off, things were tough to budge. Thank you, earned another sub.

The socket kit is still awesome haha it has a couple extra bigger sockets that aren’t included in craftsman or the cheaper brands which definitely help if you’re using it around the house as well. Only thing is it REALLY heavy. Yea those things are hard to take off at first! I’m glad to be of help 😁👍🏼

Hi Jeff, Awesome job man, I had a question do I need to unplug the rear trunk negative battery cable to replace spark plugs on the Evo. Thanks for reply your maintenance video helped me work on my Evo 10. Thanks again Chang

Thanks a lot man, I remove the battery cable whenever I work on anything at is electrical related. I'm not too sure if its required but I removed it just in case. Some people remove the positive terminal and some remove the negative terminal but I think the positive terminal is what would need to be taken out(I'm definitely not an expert😂) Hopefully that helped! Did you gap your spark plugs or did they already come pre gapped

They came pre gapped so just a quick install 👍🏼 haven’t had problems yet 😂

Where did you get the magnetic spark plug socket from, and how would you know if you have a misfire or not?

I got it off of Amazon www.amazon.com/dp/B07MH5ZDMD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share And the way to know is if there's popping noises from the engine, engine stalls or jerks, hard to start the engine, or the engine loses power
