Thank you so much Tomo! This is probably my favorite song by Yamashita. As a death-metal musician myself, i am consistently blown away by how HUGE that intro is; it is HEAVY, heavier than my 240BPM . It reminds me of growing up in the 90's and visiting my family in NYC...which is odd because i didn't know Yamashita's music until about a year ago.

The chords in this are so good, everyone seems to hear something different. I like using the Steely Dan “mu-major” chords for when you have a 1st inversion major chord.
@TomoFujitaMusic5 жыл бұрын
So nice to hear that! I love that inversion sound!!
@ExperienceJacob5 жыл бұрын
@@TomoFujitaMusic Oh me too! First inversion Major Chords are the best, especially on the guitar. That grind between the 3rd in the bass and the 5th is so sweet, the doubling of the 3rd is so wrong but so right too.

It's all about synthesis. Children learn from their parents. Musicians learn from their influences. (The early psychedelic Pink Floyd was influenced by 1950s American Blues) Architecture is inspired by the previous buildings. In Turkey, most historical mosques are inspired by the Hagia Sophia. etc. It's what we do as human, learn from the world. However, as we get older most people get disinterested and stop wanting to learn.
