It's really cool seeing you take a regular log and transform it into a beautiful work of art. Very impressive, Mathieu. 👌😎

Thanks a lot man! im never very confident carving something i havent made before. im happy how it turned out too. Could have used a slightly bigger piece of wood to make things a little easier.. that being said it would also be a bigger loss if i screw it up completely 😆 Appreciate you checking it out! have a great weekend!

Mathieu, wat heerlijk om te zien hoe je uit een boomstammetje zo'n prachtige vogel tovert. Fantastisch, tot de volgende video weer.🙂

You really make those little hand tools work for you...I don't think I've seen anyone else use that little mini-saw... Was that the secret sealer you made last year ?...I know you made a decent amount... Your sparrowhawk really came out great !...seems you and birds get along quite well...🐦... It must be frigid there..I'd wok inside..lol...but I see why you did your rough cut outside... Stay warm...🌿🌿🌿

The mini chainsaws are quite cool, was a bit of a gamble to buy since i also havent seen anyone use it. still not sure wich of the 2 i like best but i think the 12 volt version is better for the bigger cuts, the more powerfull faster 18 volt may be nicer fr shallow detail cuts, will need to use them more to figure that one out. I do think im getting the hang of them, i also started to try to remember to wear decent gloves in case i slip and hit a finger or two :), Glad you like the sparrowhawk, first hawklike bird i have carved so im not too confident about it just yet, really appreciate the feedback. means a lot. 💚 As far temperature goes its not awful but it is definetly not warm :) i do wear warm clothes, I put insulating soles in the boots u see me wearing in the video as well so i try to stay warm :). getting the rough cuts out of the way outdoors is the way to go for sure, wood chips build up fast and chainsaws really do a good job of spreading them around everywhere :D Thanks again for the visit! always happy to hear from you.

Forgot about the oil/wax mix or sealer as you say. it is indeed the same as i made back then :-) it really lasts me a long time, did end up adding more linseed oil to the big container and its still really effective. i probably could have used a lot less beeswax when i firs made it.
