Nii Abladey Otu 4 bands by votes and 4 by committee. Espn The undefeated had NSU #4 preseason in the nation and still in the top 10. Also, 4 of the 8 were never ranked but chosen for the Honda🤔. Another thing, last 3yrs Legion has been making noise, 2017, 2nd place Queen City BOTB , 1st performance , 2018 GHOE weekend killas, nod from Juice WRLD himself for Lucid Dreams, Grammy nominated-band with group Justice 2019, best band entrance ever, video by Killa Kev, almost 400k views in a month. Im just saying. Even if NSU fans did give enough votes , this year performances alone should have gotten The Legion in, my opinion🤔

Amazing thing bout Legion this season is that about 65 percent of band are freshman. They are very young group who came along way. Legion can hold there own against anyone!!!

Let’s be clear. The legion is a different type of band. They can definitely hold their own. But when it comes to sheer power and strength nobody does it better than then HUMAN JUKEBOX. TheDizfunkshunal1 it’s not about power all of the time....entertainment value is key....arrangements are key....general effect is key....that’s what makes a good band....if it was about blasting, Southern wins hands down but who wants to hear that crap on almost every song....the bands I would like to see the Legion go up against is Jackson or PV or Alabama A&M....bands that play within the integrity of music

I kinda agree. It wasn’t a bad show. But it was kinda like bland. I remember Mr. Adams used to mention the phrase “wow factor” not seeing much of that from Norfolk this year. I haven’t seen much of them but when I have they’ve kinda been middle of the road.

The program seemed to be going in the right direction until this year. All the hype about the numbers but there’s 0 aggression outside of the low brass. 2017 Legion > 2019 Problem is people keep telling them how great they are right now. Be honest this is a middle of the road and at best. Luckily they haven’t seen anyone this season. Because this ain’t it G.

As a Legion alumni I get what you're saying, but they're not being gassed up, the issue is rebuilding with limited funds...yeah a few mercenary killers came back in '17 (lol) but people can't march forever. In a nutshell the bar was set VERY high in the 2000's, then the bottom fell out financially...with the limited funds available it's actually remarkable what they have been able to achieve. We will continue to support and encourage them.

Kareem you do have a valid point , I love the legion , and I will not comment anything negative about this band, but I think they need to evolve! My rookie year Doc hires Paul Adams, Mr B and Ms. Saunders, . If you look at 2017. That band was at its peak from the rebuilding years of 14 through 16, 18 highlight performance was against Ncat. This year, although the band is very young , you can tell that in the arrangements , drills and performances the band is stagnant! They have to bring in another band director, hows skilled in balance arrangements and a new drill writer for the program to continue to progress to the heights we all want to see them go! It’s has to be more than just trolling other bands on you tube comments , musicianship always done the talking for the legion ! I pray they take note ! Because the ball is in their court ! We are supporting and watching from a far! But great homecoming, something to use for your next recruitment marketing video !

Y’all haven’t been to a game outside of Norfolk all year and every time another band comes here y’all leave early. Cmon bruh. All these new uniforms and gimmicks and somehow y’all have forgotten that people come to the games to see y’all. I heard kids in the band cheering when they were getting ready to leave the stadium. If you don’t wanna play don’t march in the band. Hampton’s band has been everywhere this year and seen way more even with them no longer being in the meac. A shift is coming soon. Next year HU will have the best band in the state of Virginia and Norfolk should blame their director for constantly leaving these games. Not taking the band anywhere. And don’t give me that budget bs. You took the job you gotta find a way.

We do them every game but our folks were lining the streets for our performance going back to the band room and drumline exhibition. Also, we reported at 6am and marched a parade.

Matthew Macanhay the game was at A&T stupid....Norfolk doesn’t have any other obligations when they go to someone else’s homecoming....at NSU’s homecomings, band alumni cook (tailgate) for them, they have to do the traditional march through campus back to the band room where MDF$ has to do a drum block along with past drummers and drum majors....it’s too much to stay after the game in a stadium playing 20 songs against another band....plus, those band members want to enjoy homecoming as well
