The comments here have been rough and whiny since S7. These viewers hated the show (last few seasons) so much, that they’re still here-whining and want you guys to hate it as well. Who does that? There was a time I loved Prison Break or Stranger Things. But once I didn’t enjoy it anymore, I just stopped watching. Why would anyone try to be a bummer, or force their opinions to others? It’s been 4 years. Why are they still in every reaction video posting negative comments? Why not just move on? Just wondering.

The theory is when Dany burned the body of her first husband Drogo, he re-incarnated into the Drogon the biggest dragon and that is why he is bigger and more independent than the other dragons. So the drogon looking Jon as he kisses Dany is confirming this theory to be true and was angry seeing another man kissing his wife because Drogon wasn’t there for the relationship with the other guy. R R Martin said nothing is done by accident in these stories, like the dragon who is now with the Night King is the Dragon named after her brother who betrayed her.

Yup, G.R.R Martin himself said they should have done 1-2 more seasons. Not only was 8 seasons not enough, but they cut the last 2 seasons down to 7-8 episodes. D and D got a directing deal with Star Wars, and unfortunately it seems obvious once you put the pieces together that they wanted to end GOT as quickly as possible. Add in the fact they no longer had source material after season 5 which is as far as G.R.R Martin has written the books so far. You can see the down fall of the series in season 6 if you compare it to the previous 5 seasons.

Sansa’s question to Jon about Dany is valid, because Dany had already pledged she was going to fight with the North and Jon gave up his crown afterwards when he didn’t have to. So it wasn’t just he bent the knee because it was the only way to save the North, that’s actually an excuse. He bent the knee because he chose to do it, once again making a decision without consulting Sansa or anyone else in their family. They all spent all that time trying to get their home back, trying to get their independence, Sansa is understandably miffed that Jon gave it all up so quickly, especially when it really didn’t have to happen.

Jon gave up his crown bc he loves Danaerys. She had already agreed to come up and fight with him. Sansa clocked it and confronted him on it. Sansa is mad that he gave up his crown. Since they reached the end of the book material they started mashing different side plots in one and started to focus more on "subverting expectations" formula than making the writing make sence and feel more "real". The reason why all the character arcs made sense by season 6 is the slow development. Danny's Arc will be same in the books. But it will make more sense why that happened and will feel more organic because it will be well paced. Bran's also. And I'm not the kind of fan that compares the books to the show fanaticly. I LOVED the show. Still do. I just feel like if D&D were not so posessive and gave the show to other showrunners we would still have GoT seasons airing. Instead they decided to smush and wrap up 7 years of buildup, side plots and character development in few hours. @@lexieraven6239 Agree, they rushed it because they wanted to move on to Star Wars. The irony of that is they lost the Star Wars project after how disappointing the last season of Thrones was. Comparing the writing of the show when they had Martin's books to the writintg they produced themselves after they ran out of source material there is a clear decline in quality. It gives the appearance, whether true ot not, that they only produced good writing because they had Martin's books to go off of. It makes them look incompetent as writers. (???) seriously? save it from whom, sam? book dany would give up her crown for a small house in the middle of nowhere, but show dany wouldn't, and she's not wrong either. jon couldn't take Winterfell with his own army, how the hell would he take king's landing and maintain his power?

You can say something very similar for Daenerys though. She could not rule Meereen,with all her advisors, unsullied and dragons,how could she possibly be capable of ruling seven kingdoms made of houses that fight each other day in day out? Also,Jon never killed a prisoner of war. He killed wildlings in battle and he killed Olly etcetera because they were traitors,but Randyll Tarly is not a traitor,and he didn't die in battle. She burned him alive, without trial, as a demonstration of power. That is very different
@Nihilanth Жыл бұрын
@@niccologregorutti let's work your brain a little bit. meereen had a completely different system and "culture" compared to Westeros. there, Dany fought former-masters who were trying to destroy her freedom quest and take back slaver's bay to their previous oppressive system. she wasn't capable of maintaining it with her diplomacy, but as soon as she brought her armies and dragons to make an statement, the dragon's bay was found in peace at the end of season 6 (and she installed a democracy system). in Westeros, slavery doesn't exist. Dany wouldn't have to face the problem of dealing with politics while everyone is against her. Dany making a power statement while conquering westeros, and then ruling it peacefully while being counsel by different people, from different places, culture, etc, so she wouldn't have to face it with conspiracies very often. "Aegon the Conqueror brought fire and blood to Westeros, but afterward he gave them peace, prosperity, and justice" - ADWD and you're right, Olly's situation doesn't compare to the tarlys. the tarlys were one of the greatest Targaryen loyalist of all time (they even supported the mad king) and they were the Tyrell's bannerman, so yep, they're traitors. Olly on the other hand, he was no POW, he was a survivor from a village massacre led by Jon's girlfriend and bestie. Olly, a 10/11yo boy, who was clearly under the influence of adult men, "betrayed" Jon for protecting his parents' assassins. he got executed for not kissing Jon's boots and being supportive to the people who destroyed his life. the tarlys were POW, and yet Dany was willing to forgive their crimes (instead of just executing them like Jon did) if they pledged their allegiance to house Targaryen, just like Aegon did. they refused it, so why would Dany keep someone who not just denied her as their queen, but was throwing insults at her armies? she was also willing to send him to the wall, but he refused it all the same.

The Tarlys are not traitors, because the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms is Cersei Lannister,not Daenerys ' Targaryen,whose family was overthrown because they committed atrocities in literally every generation. Olenna is the traitor,not Randyll Tarly. Also, Meereen is a single city,she won it without even having to siege it,yet she managed to be disliked by both nobles and common people,her dragon terrorised the population,her unsullied were killed in the streets,Barristan died killed by the Harpy,she reopened the fighting pits,where she got attacked,and then she left the city without a ruler. This is a disastrous masterclass,you need to put effort into doing so badly at managing a City. The problem is that Westeros is not a City, Westeros is seven kingdoms full of houses that hate each other,that regularly find a reason to kill each other. A continent where she would rule over people that consider her a foreigner,she hasn't even ever set foot in Westeros. The dragons showing up at Winterfell really show Dany's character. She's initially unsure of herself and the looks she's getting from the people at Winterfell. Then when the dragons show up, scaring everyone, she's far more confident but she's commanding respect through the dragons, not by herself.
@Hollygli Жыл бұрын
It also shows how her base inclination is to rule through fear, not love. She has to repeatedly be counseled away from committing horrible acts. People will argue that the unsullied love her, and she freed slaves. Yes. But to her that is just. If she deems something just or worthy, she'll fight for it and all who stand in her way be damned. We cheered her on for killing the khals and the slave masters bc they were either arrogant misogynists (khals) or evil men (the masters) but the acts were always horrific and she went about them in ways that her advisors disagreed with. Either morally (don't burn a whole city of innocents down) or politically. So yeah, her character has always been driven by her lizard brain. Fear and cruelty.

I don't thin Rickon will necessarily be into some epic shit in the books, but I think he's definitely be in the middle of fascinating politics. He's already in a remote, intriguing area in the books, which the show refused to explore. Even if Rickon was barely used, the fact that we don't get any of the characters mourning him is BS. @jarlhenrik Жыл бұрын
@@Mic-Mak No reaction maybe, but Davos has been pretty rational throughout the show. Dany has been told that she's the "dragon" every since Viserys died. That the throne is her right and everyone in Westeros are either usurpers or subjects. Her view on the Lannisters can't in any way compare to Davos', who only supported who he felt was the rightful king. Stannis died in a fair battle, and we know Davos' loyalty was slipping there as Stannis became increasingly irrational. A conversation about how Tyrions loyalty to his family (besides Jaime) was misplaced would be appropriate, if he hadn't already made abundantly clear that the only relation to the Lannisters he accepts is Jaime. And tbh, I've been a bit fed up about the northerners after Ned died. It's like every logical argument against them is an insult to their honor, which seems mightly prickly. Jon never made the claim he wanted to split the north from King's Landing, just that if they wanted him as their "king", so beit. Rob started that whole King in the North BS and everyone since just rolled with it.

@@jarlhenrik I'm super confused about everything you just said. You say that Davos has been pretty rational throughout the show. The question is, is that normal? Is it normal that Davos would only think about his dead son at the moment he witnesses his death and never again? It is rational that Davos would have no animosity toward Tyrion, even though they appear to be on the same side? The same way, there was some animosity between the Sand Snakes & Tyrion. Imagine if Joffrey or Cersei were genuinely willing to make peace with the North, do you think the Starks would have no animosity toward them? That it would go over smoothly? I highly doubt it. I don't know why you bring up Stannis. Does dying in a fair battle mean you have animosity or, at the very least, complicated feelings toward the people who killed your family? That's not realistic at all. You're making excuses for the writers, when the simple thing is, they didn't really care about Davos' character development and his history with the Lannisters. So many established relationships and complicated feelings were overlooked for the sake of the plot. I have my issues with how the North is reacting to Dany's arrival too, but them being having reservations about the Lannisters is completely warranted. They are the reason the North suffered so much. Moreover, Robb never crowned himself King in the North. It's not something he ever aspired to. He was crowned by Northern & Riverland Lords.

This episode has a lot of throwbacks to 1x1, Boy climbing up the tree like Bran, king/queen's army arriving at Winterfell and with the same music, Arya wandering around during their arrival, episode ending with Jamie and Bran and the same outro music after the episode ends.

I loved Dany’s entrance to Winterfell. The North may not like outsiders but she looked regal, like a queen, and then her dragons fly overhead. Now that’s an entrance! Even Arya was impressed with that.

7:17 "I'll have to delete the 8th season from my mind if that happens." - Spartan I wonder if this will become what occurs or doesn't occur. It'll be interesting to find out.

9:48 "It's going to be hard re-watching GoT and knowing what happens. Ugh..." - Pudgy I wonder how hard it'll be for her to re-watch. Maybe you can upload some parts of a re-visit?

That's OK! If Spartan deletes it from his mind! He wouldn't have been the only person who deleted season 8 from their minds🤮🤮🤮

@@TheMe0wsCat They finished the show, and although they haved mixed feelings, they overall enjoyed it. They don't seem to fall where most of them fandom has. At the same time, that could still change with time. I remember Spartan saying in S1 that Sam is the kind of character who is meant to die early. I wonder if he remembers and was surprised to see Sam make it to the end.

@@Mic-Mak Oh, I'm well aware. I can read the description stuff. I'm just keeping in mind those who haven't seen the entire show. I'm trying to stay away from spoilers. It's interesting seeing them already noticing a drop in quality in the writing, though. They came up with better ideas at the end of the episode than the actual writers did. 😆

@@jaybird8192 Yeah... I even like a decent amount of season 7 for a few reasons, but I'm on the list of people who "deleted season 8 from their minds." ☹

Yeah that opening scene was a call back to when King Rob was arriving (same music too) and Bran was watching for them while climbing around the rooftops like that 🥰 Oh and when Bran said “I’m waiting for an old friend in the middle of the episode, he was talking about Jamie. He was expecting him 💯

24:05 *_“She’s the smartest person I’ve ever met.”_*_ Ow. That hurt. Sansa’s got the same problem as Tyrion, in many ways. We’re told she’s smart and shown that…actually, no, not really. To be fair, nobody in this show is smart anymore, but there are only a few characters where the other characters outright say that they’re smart. The writing’s got to back that up, and it doesn’t."_ *-TURTLE PACED*

Sansa was acting dumb. Needless antagonising the draagon queen. A smart person would try to get on her good side. Its what little finger would have done. Then if u really hate her try to kill her silently. Not this declaration of hostility. This is what an emotional person does. She learnt nothing

@@drrohanjacob Blame the writers. show Sansa is nothing like that. I do not believe for a second that even S1 Sansa would ask so dumb. This is the writer's fault, and it's extremely frustrating.
