So what, does that mean that, for instance, on a ship with a 4 gun turret, shell grouping will keep two shells close, and the other two close, but both pairs of shells can still spread apart a lot? As opposed to dispersion, where the overall spread of shots is lessened?

Ok so imagine an Oval around an Enemy ship you are targeting, When you see the word dispersion in a buff it means the entire oval that is around that ship tightens up a bit meaning you are more likely to hit the target you are firing at. Grouping BUff Means that the overall size of that Oval stays the same but the Shells are more likely to stay closer together. Meaning you aren't necessarily more likely to hit but if you do hit you are more likely to score multiple hits. Salvo Firing (all guns at once) Means that the rng is the same across all guns that were fired Ripple Firing (Each Turret Separately) means that each of those shots can have a different RNG roll sometimes this can be good and sometimes it can be not so good.

The Friedrich der Große in the game is a H-39 class, an improvement of the Bismarck-class battleships both in terms of horizontal armor, propulsion systems, main armament, and steering systems. The legendary tier ship, Großer Kurfürst is actually H-44, the final variant of the H-class battleships and had if Germany acquired enough resources, it would be THE largest battleship in history at just at 345 m (1,131 ft 11 in) on a displacement of 131,000 t (129,000 long tons), displacing Yamato. However, the names Großdeutschland and Friedrich der Große we’re just speculation as Adolf Hitler chose names that are not connected to the Third Reich or to Germany itself as is stated that if those names were put on those ships and if one or both of them sank during battle, it could mean a negative psychological and propaganda effect on the German people. Hitler decided to use names such as Ulrich von Hutten (a German knight, scholar, poet and satirist, who later became a follower of Martin Luther and a Protestant reformer.) and Götz von Berlichingen (a German (Franconian) Imperial Knight (Reichsritter), mercenary, and poet). Small correction: FDG does belong to the H39 class, but GK belongs to the H41 class. Then Preussen belongs to the H42 class (turrets 4x2 457mm) and Hannover to the H43 class (4x2 493mm). In the game the H44 class is the only one missing, which has 4x2 508mm turrets and would be a direct rival to the IJN Satsuma.

​​​@@rafaelhuarte9645 Preussen dosent belong on the H-42 series, she place herself somewhere between the H-41 and H-42 in the middle, considering that she dosent even have the 480 or 483mm gun as the Hannover who is also an H-42 battleship. Same goes for GK aswell who is also place somewhere between the H-41 and the H-42, though i would place GK at the H-41 series eventhough there are some difference's that WG make onto her model, she is still place herself as an H-41 battleship because of her bridge and tower design.

Keep in mind the turtleback does't extend much down into the water. You can be citadelled in a heavy turn.

FDG has the longest main gun range in the game, with 17.9 km when fully upgraded, the second place goes to both Yamato and Iowa with 17.7 km (Iowa when fully upgraded), also I think this will be my first t8 ship

Haven’t tried the battleships yet…but I really enjoy the Russian crusier Dem. Donski. It’s a tank Chapayev with bigger guns, but a tad slower reload. I’ve had some really great games in it. I love dealing DD’s pain with the 11.7 radar. I’ve blown thru the tier upgrades and have 16k over use in it. I played against you yesterday in the Stalingrad while you were using this German BB. Out of the new BB’s I really want to try this one and when I get the campaign done I can’t wait for the Republique. I’ve seen some great teammates use her.

I just love this ship and the german line. They are born to brawl. I have a hybrid build on my fdg for a test, perhaps a full secundery build will be good and fun. But the long range is also nice to have, I tryed a brawl build with ciliax but needed the range to enemy far out. A good info video spartan, I will try your build to test it. Also with alidad skill it must be better

I haven't check the base stats. But if a ship claims "higher then average AP damage" I'd expect it to still be at the high end regardless of commander builds.

The only reason I like emergency specialist is cause of situations like you had at the end there it would’ve saved you. It sucks that it cuts down 70% duration but going from 8 secs to 3secs isn’t that big of a deal if it means it recharges 25 seconds faster and can be used again

FDG really isn’t a sniping or brawling specific BB, considering her citadel from the sides is very weakly protected. I have clips of me sniping an FDG and getting a citadel on them, and me brawling with one and chipping of 50-60k of their health with 3 citadels while they do nothing in my Maine lol Basically, Maine is the best BB added for T8 TT, definitely a hidden gem

How can your firing in smoke range be more than sea detection range????

because you are still firing your guns... So With No Smoke your Detection range when firing is whatever your Maximum range is, in this case over 20km.... but if firing with smoke they have to be within the smoke firing penalty to spot you.

@@SpartanElite43 even if it did which I haven't heard of at all or wargaming have done a shit job at showing it in the patch notes, it sacrifices so many qualities compared to the bismarck that it's just plain mediocre at best, it for some reason has a 8 second dcp duration while bismarck has 15? the accuracy of its main guns is horribly inconsistent compared to other tier 8 battleships, its sonar only lasting a minute is not as long as it should be (it's supposed to be more defensively capable than the battlecruisers so why not) when the battlecruisers are taken into consideration with their sonar duration and the secondary base range being .5 less than bismarck means that you're losing nearly a full kilometer of potential secondary range, improved accuracy or not there is litterally no reason for it not to be the same as bismarcks, why the only difference couldn't have just been accuracy is beyond me

@@Braindamagedpotato and sumner is nothing more than another addition in the US destroyer line wich already has like 10 variations with premiums included. Z46 isnt anything special either. And both get shredded by buffalo. So yes.. buffalo is the best t8 Baltimore is only the best cruiser.. I wouldnt call that mediocre. US destroyers are neither the best torpedoboats, wich are the japanese, or best gunboats, wich are the pan european. Guess that makes them mediocre.
