Before watching: I buy 90% of my games physically cause, A: I can return or sell them if I choose to do so for whatever reasons, B: installing a game off a disc if I remember right is a lil faster than storing a whole game on your memory and also I believe less space???, and C: I like to display them (Especially my Zelda collection). Not to say I wont buy digital games (steam and otherwise) but only if thats the only option to buy that game (steam again being the main thing but there are other reasons) There are games that come out digital only then get a physical limited edition later where since I already bought the digital version on release and the physical has no extra stuff I'll just stick with the digital version.

I’m always a physical games person due to the main reason being the price savings in the longer run. 1. I can buy a used game for a fraction of the price. 2. Even if I bought a new game, after beating it, I can immediately sell it for not much depreciation. I’ve literally spent only $5-$10 dollars in lots of games because I buy it for $70, beat it, and sell it for $65 or $60. 3. I just beat Baldur’s Gate 3 and I’m sad I can’t sell it because it’s digital. It’s just sitting in my digital library catching digital dust.

Why do they bother with making large capacity Blu-ray disks if the data they hold doesn’t matter, you can’t play the game on it, you still have to download it… so in the end the disk is just a glorified license, which is why I think physical games only make sense on the Switch since the game is stored on the cartridge and can be played immediately and not take up storage. My gaming purchases aren’t as regular as I’ve got older, so I find myself relying on the PS Plus catalogue to play games I’ve missed, but if there’s a new game coming out that I’m really excited for, I’ll get the physical game.
