Whatdo you mean by unnecessary gamakams? It will sound great when it comes from spb. You should hear to hariharan and the likes what all comedy they do on stages to call it improvisation. SPB sir and janaki mam never do anything that's unnecessary. That shows their humility and respect for music.

@@jananisriganesh9365 i had attended so many of his concerts both in India and outside and I can certainly say he tries to be oversmart sometimes and that kills the soul of the songs. Eg, watch any of his live performances of Ilaya Nila, he would never let the last guiter piece heard without his "tharareeeeee..." overlapping with the guitar sound..this part is the tour de force of this song where the guitarist will show his full prowess but SPB will coolly overshadows with his unnecessary singing at that part. I have heard him in many songs like this and I hate that aspect. Janaki amma is different. She will never deviate from original version. And also notice, SPB will not do this extra fittings in Raja sir concerts where his singing works like a charm

This is sheer classic delight! Music, song and chorus - amazing flow. SPB voice in original was an absolute bliss. Coming to that, I ve not seen any singer in competitive shows quite reproduce SPB songs with all its richness and the expression yet. They settle for other open voice singers' songs. How will you reproduce the softness at higher scale with knife like sharpness in delivery and butter smooth texture all rolled into one at the same time? How can you reproduce that ice cream feeling you get when you hear the voice? That's SPB. Anyone to take up the challenge?
