Thank you, this is very helpful for me. I was asked to recreate an X bar S chart in Tableau and most resources I could find online were going over my head because i didn't come from a STEM background. This finally helped the concepts click for me. Thank you!

This was explained very well as a Senior Engineer I have done several calculations like this by hand; as I always want to be able to explain to my manufacturing personnel what the application of the problem is telling me, I find doing it manually really keeps one sharp. Again Kudos to your thorough explanation.

Thanks for your explanation, but! According to the book, X bar has 10 subgroup and more. However, R bar has 9 subgroup and less.

form the formular si = root Σ( xi - xbar )power2 divide by n-1

I think is must divide of 4. Because the total m

Yes it should be decided by n not n-1
@mdsafwankhan1711 Жыл бұрын
In practice, if you were to use n instead of n-1 in the denominator, you would underestimate the population standard deviation. Bessel's correction helps ensure that the sample standard deviation is an unbiased and more accurate estimate of the population standard deviation, especially for small samples. For large sample sizes, the difference between using n and n-1 becomes negligible.
@eunicematio90303 ай бұрын
It should be 4 because the sample size is 5 so n-1 4
