Should've ran the intake to driver's side front lower and boxed off the filter from the engine bay and have a proper cold air setup. The exhaust sounds horrible. Needs 3" stainless steel piping, a pair of Vibrant ultra quiet resonators #1142, and a Vibrant street power oval muffler #1107. It'll flow significantly better and sound exponentially better. Obviously it's a work in progress and has lots of dialing in to do. Cool build so far though.

I had that kit in my 92 NA. Amazing amount of power. It dynoed at approx 260whp, but the generation i had had an issue with the oil pan sitting wayyy too low (it was about 2" off the ground,) and the design of the pan led to a lot of owners with cracks near the welds. if i had the chance to start over, i'd probably go with the k miata swap, its a more refined product, but thats just me.

So I guess with the Miata Transmission the Speedo still works? I think keeping the miata trans and diff make this swap a bit more attainable (and hopefully reliable)
@k-powered95055 жыл бұрын
I've been beating on mine for 5 years, two of which it has had a k24. Diff blew up, at the start of this year. If for some reason this one goes, I'm swapping to the getrag cts diff setup
@ericsson_motorsports3 жыл бұрын
All the gauges work like they should with the Kpower Industries swap kit (which is as far as I know the only viable swap kit). The stock drivetrain should be strong enough to safely hold about 300whp (6 speed trans and 1.8 diff) although you can always be unlucky, some people have even blown their drivetrain with a completely stock Miata engine. There are ways to make the 6 speed and 1.8 diff slightly stronger but if you're going for a turbo/supercharged K24 you'll most likely need a stronger drivetrain
