I love these motors, I think the only scary part about rebuilding them would be the apex seals and all the little intricate pieces. Besides that they are fairly simple. Wish this design was added onto by other manufacturers. If many companies joined in and many iterations were made, this could of been a spectacular modern engine.

Recently you guys asked about what you should do with your channel -- this kind of content is awesome and interesting and pretty different than a lot of high quality channels (many seem to cater to car noobs basically). Infact you guys might run a poll on the experience level of your viewers, I think that would be pretty interesting. I imagine most are like me, which is "Have pulled some engines or swapped a clutch, etc, but haven't hand-built an engine"

I'm intrigued by that engine...i can't even imagine how a 4-rotor version would go together...like how long are the studs for that? also there is a tool that looks like a "dog bone" that would work for torquing those oil pump bolts. instead of the open end of the crows foot, it's the closed end of a box wrench. great video guys💪

@The Kyle Sutherland They used modified RX8 rotors which are already lighter and higher compression, they could've done some lightening but it wouldn't be too significant. I think more important would be a proper balancing of the rotating assembly.

Really enjoyed the video really good job on the work I think on your new oil pan , the sump pump seems high if you have extra oil it technically would run cooler but the coldest point would be on the lowest point of the oil pan and also if you didn't have enough oil and or burned to much oil the presser would drop wouldn't you want the sump pump to be lower ? Closer to the bottom of the oil pan ??
