To express dislike of someone/something: Saya *tak suka* kamu! (I *don't like* you!) To express hate of someone/something: Saya *benci* kamu! (I *hate* you!) To express disgust of someone/something: Saya *menyampah* pada kamu! (You *disgust* me!) To express obnoxiousness of something/someone: Saya *meluat* pada kamu! (I *loathe* you!) To express feeling of annoyance: Kamu ni *menjengkelkan* aku! (You *irritate* me!) To express feeling of affection: Saya *sayang* kamu (I *love* you) - this is usually express between parents and children or husband and wife or couple, for example between parents and their children: Ayah/Ibu *sayang* kamu, Lisa! (Daddy/Mummy *loves* you, Lisa!) To express feeling of love/enamor: Saya *cintakan* kamu, Lisa! (I *love* you, Lisa!) this is usually express between husband and wife or couple To express feeling of happiness/elation/joy/glee: Saya rasa *seronok* ! (I feel *excited* !); Saya rasa *gembira* ! (I feel *happy* !) To express anger of someone/something: Dia *marah* pada kamu! (He's *angry* with you!) To express indignation/furious: Dia *geram* pada kamu! (He's *furious* about you!) - but 'geram' when used as slang it can mean intense liking, for example, when you see an extremely cute baby that you feel like pinching its cheek: Eee, *'geramnya'* aku tengok bayi comel ni! (I'm *'dying'* looking at this cute baby!)

Thanks for this summer video and usefull expressions. I call it summer because you sit outside on a terrace and it is really warm)) Now it is autumn in Europe, and temperature dropped to 5-7 degrees in my place. This Sunday I expect to meet one traveller from Malaysia in my city and I will spend some time together. I will ask about her feelings all the time :D You are right, it is not [krip], it is a French word, la crêpe. The first E is short with a hat and it sounds like an A letter in the word APPLE.
@sierralisse8897
@sierralisse8897 6 жыл бұрын
Hehe in Malaysia it is summer all year round, interrupted by the monsoon season and occasionally haze when Indonesia starts burning their plantation. I'll be going to Europe soon, so I'm just scrambling to get the proper jacket and socks and shoes! I haven't gone to cold countries in a while and have completely acclimatised to the warm Malaysian weather. I think I'll just be a bundle of clothing with legs when I'm there. I'm so excited for you to bombard the Malaysian traveller with questions about her feelings haha! Let me know how it goes. And thanks for the crêpe pronunciation. So does that mean it sounds something like the word 'scrape'?
@dmitriparamonov2332
@dmitriparamonov2332 6 жыл бұрын
@@sierralisse8897, exactly. Sounds like the word 'scrape'. When a friend from Singapore came to visit my country in February when it was -20°, I advised her to wear two pair of socks)))I wish you a pleasant and warm Eurotrip. Keep calm and wear a hat!

Hi Lissa. My kids and I are using your videos to learn Malay. Im so glad I've found your channel! I have a question about saya. Can it be omitted from a sentence without changing its meaning? Terasa macam mengantuk. Does it need saya to express that it is me who suddenly feels sleepy? (Very useful expression, by the way)
@sierralisse8897
@sierralisse8897 6 жыл бұрын
Hello Tina! So happy you find my channel useful for you and your kids. When you omit the word 'saya', it becomes more ambiguous, but people just assume you're talking about yourself. Like most of the time, when I'm hungry, I just say one single word - Lapar. And people just know I'm talking about myself. Same with 'Mengantuk'. You can just say that one single word. If people are not sure if you're referring to yourself or someone else, they can ask 'Siapa?' which means 'Who?'. 'Siapa mengantuk?'. 'Siapa lapar?'. Then you can say 'Saya' or 'Dia' for 'him/her' :D Hope that helps.

The waiter has no skills or aware the surroundings but blames the wind. Betul ke ayat ni lisse?
@sierralisse8897
@sierralisse8897 6 жыл бұрын
Hehe are you asking me how to say it correctly in English? If I correct your sentence: The waiter has no skills -or- *and was not* aware -the- *of his* surroundings, -but- *and instead* -blames- *blamed* the wind. If I were to say it myself: Rather than apologise for his carelessness, he blamed the wind instead. Hope that helps! Personally though, I'm not that upset about the whole thing. I do find it sad that people in general would rather blame everyone and everything else but themselves, but most people are defensive anyway, so I don't expect much. And the wind was quite strong and he was so focused on not dropping the chocolate on me that he failed to notice the wind. Accidents happen :)
