Fantastic video Thank You! I could wish a bit more about the culture around the issue. Do every guest have this traditional clothes on? Do you bring a gift and you get an ‘egg and flower’ symbolic gift back when you leave? Unusual here i Scandinavia. But we have also our traditional kabaya in Norway. In every province another (very old) design, so we see where People are coming from. 🙂 And another Question: Are all Malaysians Muslime or do you have different religions too. How about Chineese in your country? Are they all buddhistst or are there also Daoists and Confutius people? And the Indian / Tamil population? Are they all Hindu? I try to get a picture of your fantastic but complex country on the other side of our planet we all share. 🙏🌹

Hi Lisa, I am so glad I came across your channel and it really helps me to learn Malay as a foreigner. I went to bookstores in JB to find books that teaches Bahasa Melayu to foreigners and I couldn't even find one! Maybe I don't know my way well enough and I haven't found the right bookstore. 😂The way you give so much thoughts into teaching the language and what a foreigner would encounter and need really makes me smile whenever I hit the play button -- literally! 😂 I really enjoy every lesson. I just wanted to say thank you, be encouraged and I'm looking forward to your book!

i'm trying to learn malay because my old nanny lives there now with her family. Every time she visits here, it's difficult for me to conversate with her kids. Anyway, ever since I started learning, I found out how easy malay is and how lovely malaysian people are 🥺 Most of malaysian also speaks english so it's really easy to ask help from them

You should say "hello everyone " or "hi everyone" insted of saying "hey everyone" when begin your lecture, because "hey" sounds rather impolite to someone you meet for the first time.
