The word Abgha is actually from Classical or Fusha Arabic as far as my understanding of the Arabic language is concerned.

As far as Saudi Arabia is concerned there are a number of differences in the words that are used and phrases used that may differ all over the country. But essentially the main dialects are the following: In the east of Saudi Arabia they speak with a Gulf Arabic dialect or Khaleeji dialect, which is very similar to the dialects of Khaleeji Arabic used in the other Gulf Arab countries. In the central region of Saudi Arabia, in the region known as Najd, they speak with a Najdi dialect of Arabic. This dialect is that of the Bedouins of the region and it is actually quite close to Classical Arabic. Najdi Arabic is also spoken in large parts of Jordan, especially in the tribal areas there and also where the bedouins reside. It is also spoken in some parts of South Western Iraq. In the West of Saudi Arabia in the region known as Hejaz, the dialect spoken there is Hejazi Arabic and this dialect has some words and pronunciations similar to Egyptian dialects of Arabic. There are also other subtle differences in words and pronunciations used within these regions that I mentioned. But generally, there are 3 main dialects in Saudi Arabia. But other dialects in the country include Bahrani which is spoken in a small region in the East of the country and dialects close to the Yemeni dialect in a small region in the very South West of Saudi Arabia. I like how its so amazing how people were born as a first language and then learn another so fluently, very fascinating. Then there is us who were born around both, parents teach arabic and the school teaches English. As a kid I heard I often got things backward writing arabic in school and English in home when its supposed to be the other way around

Interesting how one of the dudes mentioned neom, my dad is working in Saudi and from what he told me Neom is a multi billion dollar project in where they plan to utilise the brightest minds with state of the art technology, and from what it sounded like it was almost like they would be a country of their own (my dad compared it to a little Dubai). I remember working in Riyadh and learned Arabi there, then some years later I moved in Khobar Dammam Qatif or in ( eastern province )... I was like, HA!? ( to my friend) My arabic not the same as you “ peps “ using here? Hahaha... oh! ok then... like in the Philippines we are using TAGALOG OR ENGLISH as National ( universal inside the country ) Language to communicate to others who doesn’t speak or understand other dialect... and in Saudi, there and for sure other countries too... my huge respect to you guys - who can speak others tongue.
