I loved this video so much. I agree I think people will stay with what they know because it's easier or almost safer. But I feel when you do that you're only closing yourself off to new experiences that could be good for you or make a positive impact on your life. I'm rewatching this - I always find it so interesting when people speak another language the sound of their voice comes out so different. Jason sounds the same as if he was speaking English, but John's voice hits different between English and Korean. I speak a few languages and get told the same too that I sound so different when moving between the different languages.

Thanks for this video guys. I want to make an effort to learn as many languages as I can, Korean being one of them. I enjoyed you guys speaking in your native tongue, and Dr. Yoo, you did a great job! I took 2 years studying my native language which is Filipino and also Spanish in college and I still suck at it big time! I agree with Mrs. Shin. I like how honest she was about interracial marriages, but she was also optimistic. I am for interracial relationships and marriages. I believe it is possible for things to work out if both sides work together and understand each others' cultures and family backgrounds and so forth. Just like friendships. :)

Loved this video. My dad is Korean, and my mom is Russian. I always dwell on how my mom was patient enough to learn Korean culture and values. She cooks amazing Korean food! An interracial marriage is definitely possible if both people are understanding towards one another and willing to learn about each other’s cultures-an open mind is most important. It helps though that both of my parents are from Uzbekistan, which is Central Asia. There are innately shared values already like respecting your elders, so any similarities have definitely helped and make it easier to be in a healthy marriage

A really insightful video today talking about the barriers in relationships and families and the willingness to overcome certain things or not! Personally ik that my family has somethings culturally they would not tolerate being different from ours, but for the most part they are pretty open minded as the perspectives of people have been changing. In the past my grandparents would never allow a relationship with a different ethnicity, but like my parents would so there’s some progress in thinking style 🤷‍♀️

Cross cultural dating is something that is to difficult to navigate but worth it when both partners put in the effort to learn the nuances of each other's cultures. It shows how much you care about the other person. I think you guys should do a reaction video to all the clueless Americans on 90 Day Fiance who know zip about their foreign partner's culture.
