You are right and there is absolutely nothing that will unprogram the people in this movement. I know because I am deconstructing my whole construct, and I have done a Freedom Newspaper for 3 years. When Gaza happened something broke in me and I started to come out of the spell. Now I have to unravel so much. I am still in the proverbial closet not knowing how to walk away. I went to all of the conferences and traveled the United States being a good foot soldier. We even talked about the seven mountains. I probably need trauma counseling, but I have a strong mind. Personally, I have watched everyone clap like monkeys at crazy ideas and I just sit there and shake my head. It is very scary.

Having a strong mind doesn't mean you don't need trauma counseling. Counseling is simply someone who is completely on the outside of your life helping you navigate your head from a completely unbiased, unobjective point of view, so you finish deconstructing, or trauma recovery in a way that doesn't continue to mentally injure you.

When I was 28, and seeking answers to questions about my family, my life, the prompt I received from within was to leave the evangelical churches, put God/Jesus on the shelf, and quest truth. More than 30 years later, I think I am still deprogramming and healing from the damage the "cult" form of Christianity which has nothing to do with what my understanding of Jesus was. It was absolutely terrifying to leave the cult and a very, very, very long healing journey from the trauma I experienced in the Evangelical Church as well as the Catholic Church. It was the best decision I ever made, to listen to the prompt to let go, move on, and shake the dust off my feet and embrace the authenticity of my personal path in interest of contributing to the greater good. I now perceive the shadow expression of Evangelical Christianity as "faith based" mental illness in some ways. A belief system that provokes anxiety/fear, is a belief that generates anxiety/panic, which in turn can lead to paranoia. Blind belief in what a pastor says and not thinking for yourself, a form of mind control... glad to be free!

Extra thank for addressing the issue of biased media that seeks not to inform the public of facts, but spins those facts and disseminates only the facts that fit into their preconceived agenda. I loathe having correspondents tell me what the information is purported to mean. I have my own brain, occasionally like to use it, and want unbiased information from which to form my own conclusions. If a topic interests me, I will look into 2 US news orgs and 2 foreign ones.

I haven't taken this as seriously as I apparently need to. I am 70 and gay --- and this type of religousosity, literalists, fundamentalist, somewhat MAGA secular/religious types we see on our phones today, as being the same zealot unwellness of years past. I have always found these people to be dangerous and repulsive for well over 50 years. So I have learned to tune them out --- and I've been hearing this escalating bubbling up from the bowels of Hell --- as the same fire and damnation through these same old, tired ears, keeping the volume way down to this nonsense/witchcraft, just as I do with muzac. So, I need to look up RJ Rushdy. Got it. But I can't help but cringe at CN people wanting to make the 10 commandments the law, when there are 2 whole books afterwards with all the law Moses set for the Israelites, but the whole point(which was missed btw) is that it is impossible to perfectly follow these law when God gave us free will and made us imperfect. It's why there was 400 years of silence before Jesus came and showed us we will always be imperfect flawed creatures and it's why everything else happened. Sorry. I had to cut it off because I don't want to sound preachy. Jesus literally (with poetic prose) said to pay your taxes, cloth the naked, feed the hungry, care or the sick, love and guide the children to be good adults, hate the "other" will not make you better than them, teach the illiterate, give of your wealth (though not to your own detriment) that others may also thrive, and last, but not least, teach of his message of to love and care for one another as he did us. I mean if Cheeto Boy is everything the evangelical CN loves, Jesus is everything they hate. It's that simple.

I’ve read that the Heritage led policy group have been supplying Republican administrations with policy programs for years and that last Trump admin got through about 60%. Read Jeff Sharrlets two books on the topic of Dominionism, " The Family," and " The Undertow." Katherine Stewart's " The Power Worshippers, " and Kristin DuMez's, " Jesus and John Wayne," and Tim Alberta's ,"American Carnage," and " The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory." Also Anne Nelson's " The Shadow Network." None of this is true Christianity, and it as scary as hell.

I enjoyed this episode. I just discovered you, so I’m chiming in a little late. Regarding the pornography ban in P25, I think it is deeper than just the face value you present. If you read P25 they say librarians will be jailed for distributing it. This suggests to me that this is about all DEI books, etc. as I don’t know any libraries handing out porn. I doubt any of these so called Christian men will go to prison for watching porn, but our libraries will be under attack… even worse.

Chris, with all due respect and admiration for your work, I have to correct you regarding Roe vs Wade. I recommend looking into that more and truly understanding your / our Constitution. Roe vs Wade should have been settled years ago on one simple ground, which is that the federal government has ZERO AUTHORITY to make any laws against abortion, that the STATES have this authority and rightly so. Reversing the Unconstitutional conclusion (which technically there was no actual conclusion to the matter years ago) was the correct decision....it just seems wrong because hardly anyone even knows what the Constitution actually says or means. EACH STATE, according to what WE THE PEOPLE WANT, makes these decisions, NOT the federal government. Reversing Roe vs Wade is one step in the right direction of getting BACK TO OUR CONSTITUTION, which we must do in order to save our DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC (another misrepresentation that needs to be understood, we are NOT a democracy, we are a Democratic Republic).

With all due respect to your comment (which is none), my medical records NO LEVEL OF GOVERNMENT'S business. Abortion should be a decision between an individual and their doctor, and if the states would keep their fucking noses out of business they know nothing about, there wouldn't NEED to be federal laws concerning it. Roe v Wade wasn't for OR against abortion, it simply stated that it isn't a political or legal issue, but a personal one between me and my doctor, in order to prevent dumbasses from trying to make it illegal to abort an ectopic pregnancy and requiring doctors to transplant it to the uterus instead (a feat which is currently not possible). And yes, someone tried to make that happen. You're right that it's not the federal government's business whether or not I have an abortion, but it's not the STATE government's business either. Stay the fuck out of people's uteruses and we won't HAVE to make federal laws to keep you out.
