I think we should start talking in terms of competence. As a female engineer and a damn good one at that, I was paid more than my fellow female and male counterparts. This type of conversation is so 2020. Can we please start looking into the nuances of this topic and the relevant industries before making broad statements about gender pay gaps. I’m sure no one is low balling anyone. If you were paid a certain amount in your previous gig, no new company will just offer you anything you want because you’re a female. Let’s start being specific about these conversations please. 🙏🏽
