I main panth mid and mostly go the oneshot build with bork and a last whisper item after eclipse. I've had some decent success with him in gold with 60% wr. You shit on assassins and most melees hard and oneshot literally everyone in one rotation late game with bork but you become too dependent on your empowered w and can easily get oneshot yourself if you get cc'd and/or get your w cancelled because you are much squishier than the other build. It's easy to get ahead in gold early thanks to panth's early power and once you get eclipse and bork you can pretty much kill anyone you land empowered w on. However, most mages are very hard to deal with and you can pretty much do nothing against them in lane if they play safely and don't let you roam. The oneshot build becomes less feasible the higher elo you go because people will stop getting caught out as much and will position better. I recommend playing him with the oneshot build in mid lane and the black cleaver build in top lane. I personally always go oneshot though, as it is so much more fun to oneshot even tanks and see their reactions in all chat.

@@johnjohnson469 ngl i used to play some pantheon mid and i really didn't like the one-shot build. maybe i just didn't know how to play the champion well enough but i feel like my most atrocious games were always when i used the one-shot build. really i was just wondering if i could pick the champion and have success with it mid but i think i would personally stick with the black cleaver build for the consistency. the reason i'm considering picking him back up is because i play assassin mid laners and naafiri is getting gutted in 13.17 so i want to replace her with another ad champ. i main ekko and naafiri right now, and the other options besides pantheon were zed and talon but zed gets banned way too often in my low elo games and i feel like talon is just too hard to play into some comps. anyway though, thanks for the insight i already figured mage matchups would be hard since i already play melee mid laners but i feel like i learned something from your comment.

Thanks to Spear carrying Panth win rate there is now 0% chance of Panth getting buffs and may in fact triggers the nerf hammer... since he is climbing in Korea and Rito is very fast to responds to meta from Korea. Especially against Champs such as Panth that has history of being 90-100% pick/ban in pro play.

With 900LP in the bag, while already solidified himself as the best pantheon in the world before coming to KR, this puts him in an even broader stage. So glad more and more people recognized his skills and his personality is top notch too. It’s dumb that ppl still put KR soloqueue on a pedestal. EUW, KR, CSS have all been similiar to climb for a long time. If you get challenger very easily in one, you’ll get challenger very easily in the other. And because of the early game meta in kr soloq, spearshot is perfectly suited for kr.

Watching this video makes me question how powerful Pantheon could be in pro play. Obviously it's situational and different circumstance with the synergy of team communication, but he has many tools to assist teammates, reposition, and change the course of fights on top of high burst damage potential. I really don't see his early game kills to be insane considering he is ignite top on a notoriously low mechanic early game beast, so I don't see why you would constantly analyze his level 1 kills. It would be more helpful if you could look at how is he going to convert those early kills to snowball other lanes/ the game considering Pantheon fall off mid-late game.

Guy is skillfull, BUT lets be fair. Panth is overloaded. Instant cast, low cd, dmg% reduction, low range poke. long range poke, dd too low hp, stun, global ult, etc etc etc. In 4 sec he cast about 8 spells, no wonder that players with top reaction can perferm like that =\ I mean c'mon, just slow video spit and watch how fast his animation is. He instacast all 3 spells and aa + reposition himself with moovement in 1.5sec =\

I know that toggle attack champion only is very useful. But I can't figure out how to make it work with my keybind for auto attack. Anytime I toggle the champion attack only, it can only be used with right click, if I were to use my key for auto attacks it totally ignores it and can still auto minions or towers. help much appreciated

this champion is a shadow of his max potential if your spacing is bad by the way. Pantheon's Q is programmed at literally the perfect length to be able to poke and prod at the enemy toplaner without getting traded back, its like a ranged autoattack. for example pantheon has significantly more trouble in the darius matchup if youre not good enough at the champ to hit darius with Q without getting hit with darius spin. so spear shot is literally brute forcing pantheon into relevance using sheer mechanics and immaculate spacing, which is why no other panth player comes close.
