Hope your trip was great, hey what ever happened to the Spearheads? I loved the vids when you took them out spearfishing.

I would love to see a culmination of the playlist ending with a “beginner dive” video based on how to find and shoot your first fish as if you were a beginner. I believe I finally have all the gear I need, just haven’t been able to shoot a fish yet. Only get a couple days out of the year to go to the keys and shoot clear water so it’s hard to find fish.

Hey Aaron, just wanted to thank you for your videos. Did some hunting in the mangroves this past week in KW and managed to land a few mangroves (one being 19”) as well as a 16” Cubera snapper. Pretty cool stuff, and certainly was challenging. Looking forward to the playlist

Awesome!!! Can’t wait to see this. I would love to get into spear fishing but have no clue where to start. Would this only apply to free diving or would this also include scuba diving?

I just started spearfishing this past weekend, been going near Big Pine Key since I don't have a boat but I've already gotten 3 mangrove snappers and I'm hooked. Can't wait to see the series!

For beginners, starting out with a pole spear or Hawaiian sling is the way to go. In the 40+ years I've been hunting I have taken more fish with a pole spear than with any of the guns I've used. You will learn how to stalk better and improve your aim; believe me, even up close you can miss. These are obviously only for shallow water or reef hunts, but those are the best places to learn. Happy hunting!

Awesome content bro. Would you be able to talk through your breathing up technique, best way to recover your breath after a deep dive. For those that can't dive regularly but have access to a pool, do you have any suggestions of apnea sessions to perform or any advice on how to maintain breath hold while out the water. Thank in advance 🤙

I'll be waiting for those videos, my friends and I are planning on venturing into shallow water/ reef diving. Unfortunately we're not allowed to spear fish here, but we're going to TRY and dive lobsters and conchs. None of us have ever done it before though 😅😅

Where are you at? Bahamas? If so, you can hunt with a pole spear or Hawaiian sling, and in shallow water those are better than a gun, IMHO. Good luck either way!

Looking forward to this series. What would be cool is after you complete this series, you run a raffle for a couple new speros to demonstrate the theory learned in practical application. Starting shallow water for obvious reasons. Maybe 2 or 3 days from the Gheenoe. Participants could be selected by answering questions derived from the videos. Or maybe I should just be quiet and watch as they are released. LOL
