OK Kelly, this time I watched it without interruption. Butter ball for sure or a blimp! Fantastic. I'm too squeamish to eat uncooked anything. Enjoyed the prep and cooking. Great vid and keep'em coming. Did a lot of salt water small boating, kayaking for years. Arrival of Great Whites in New England scared me off. I'm 73 and miss the ocean swiming. Used to swim purposely in storm surf after hurricanes, enjoying battling my way out past the breakers and back in through the breakers and backwash of the big waves. Almost drowned doing that after a typhoon at Chu Lai Vietnam 1971. Winds were blasting paint off the buildings near the water. I went out 2nd day after the storm, waves breaking about 5' high. Swimming through the backwash and foam was brutal. Had to go back out into the swells twice to rest, made it in on third try totally spent, crawled out with legs still in water and couldn't move either arm for a few minutes. No mask or finns, I was 21 yrs old. Loved it despite almost buying the farm. Link to Typhoon Hester - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Typhoon_Hester Still enjoy long swims in lakes and rivers and paddling, fishing etc. XCskiing in winter, etc. Forgive if I wrote this before - I'm a geritric fan. Stay safe, you and the crew, a great bunch.

Hi Kelly, Awesome 1st place fish. Hope it held up. So cool that you could reach out and touch those others. A magical moment for you and us when that happened. The taste test looked soo delicious. Love it! Safe travels! Cheers from Cincinnati.

I ( and probably others ) can really feel your communion with animals . Not quite the same but dogs , cats and other animals seem to always come to me when I'm around them . I have even had their owners get upset because their pets are friendlier toward me than them . Kids have always gathered around me ( probably because we are on the same level : ) . Adults , not always . Great video today ... I hope life is treating you all well and say hello to Finly for us . PK

I can totally see the resemblance between Finley and the seals l o l ! Those sunfish feel spiritual to me as God's of the sea ? So different than other fish ! I couldn't believe they let you get so close, that you could see their tonsils , and then they allowed you to touch them ? TOO COOL ! I can't imagine pulling in a fish that weighs more than I do. What do you do with all that Tuna fish ? I'm glad you kept on making video's so we can see what the world has to offer ! 191 pond fish....WOW, Kelly is Top Dog on that trip ! Give us more PLEASE ?

Shooting Tuna or Bonito is a lucky combination of events. They are so fast that you have to lead and shoot ahead (like Shotgunning) and hope spear and fish will be at the same spot. And I used a mid handed speargun lot easier to move. Those long guns hard lo lead a fast moving fish (Bonito, Tuna, Kingfish, Wahoo, Dolphin). Well done👍Sunfish a treat to see. Me only in pictures. Very heavy duty and pówerfull 3-4 band spearguns

Great looking bluefin! May I recommend that you get a nice and ultra sharp yanagiba to slice sashimi so you can cut through the meat in one stroke rather than sawing through it with a dull knife - it really helps preserve the cellular integrity of the fish meat for the optimum taste!

Saw a thing a while ago about how long it takes balloons to bio degrade. The rubber/laytex ones took a couple of years. The mylar ones apparently do not biodegrade ever, or it takes so long that no one has been able to figure out how long it actually takes...I won't do either of them any more.

Kelly, how awesome that you got to swim with the sunfish. I see those in Monterey Bay, but they often have been molested by the sea lion to nibble on their fans, sometimes to the point where they can’t swim. It’s very sad. It’s not unusual for one of the divers to use their knife to put them out of their misery if they are dying on the ocean floor. Beautiful tuna.!! Congrats on taking first place! You go girl !!🔥I was so envious watching you eat that shasimi 🤣
