Before my health took me out of the industry in 2010, I did final editing and production for shows on the History Channel and Discovery Channel (in addition to my daytime job as a Mechanical Engineer in the oil and gas industry), and I can say i wouldn’t edit or change your vids in any way. Amazing, beautiful video… Yes, seals are territorial. They can also distinguish between you being there for hunting or just swimming. I have been swimming with a pod of seals all morning, playing with them, and later in the day I dove for urchin and scallops and I was aggressively warned off by them… next morning went back just to swim and we were friends again. A couple of days later went spearfishing a few hundred meters away, they came to check me out, and even without diving down, just with the speargun in hand, they became aggressive again…..

I have had seal meat once, very very good. Not illegal to eat in Canada. The one I had drowned in a net. Very dark, almost black meat however.

Hey Kelly, spotty but good outcome. People don't realize how dangerous sealions can be. They can take out sharks with their size, strength, speed and Teeth!!! The danger only gets greater with numbers. You were wise to get back to the boat and all come out safely.. Some good fishing and underwater scenery and the bay too. Only fish i ever enjoyed cooking and eating from the Ocean was snook. Don't really like the idea of catch clean and coo, too much anymore because of what has happened to the populations. I can remember seeing 800 pound tunas off of Canada being reeled in. Bass population has exploded up Great Lakes way because the weather is so much warmer now. Glad to see the work Florida did saving Lake Okeechobee but the water quality from what used to be in Florida is really an outrage not quite as bad as what has happened to Texas but right up there. Anyhow stay safe! Looking healthy is always a good thing.

Back I the 70s we got a 170 lb grouper in the Bahamas. My job was in the boat .my dad and friend we're doing the spearing . they tied the anchor rope their spearguns

I pray to the living God that We can sign You. TTY early this next year. Looked like so much fun. I am jealous, Mag Bay is a Christmas tradition from the way back in Socal. The Boats leave the Harbour like clockwerk, every December 26th from all over Southern California. It is a long standing Christmas tradition there. The striped Marlin spawn there and 20 - 30 fish days are not at all uncommon.
