This was one of the cleanest installs that I've seen.👍👍

Glad it’s helpful! Are you building to race in the series?

@@joshc1017 Quick question Josh. Where do you buy your tires for the series? I am interested in them for the car in the 315 size as I run a square set up. I am ordering the wheels from the series also. My car is basically a hotted up series car with a big motor and use many parts from the series.

@@408CIDZ Rockstar Garage is our official source for tires. rockstargarage.net Justin is also a racer in the series.

@@408CIDZ Good idea building it to Spec Corvette rules. It gives you options when you’re ready to start racing or if you decide to sell it. Lots of folks looking for ready-made Spec Corvettes.

Thanks. It’s not that hard, though. Mostly bolt on stuff. If you decide to give it a go, feel free to ask questions here or in the fb group.

Niceeeee.. did u like the gt1 bigger center vent? What you think about that one
@joshc10172 жыл бұрын
For Spec Corvette, we have to run this specific kit (no bigger center for us), so I didn't think much about the GT1. I do like the way this this kit matches the lines of the hood, though. It just looks sexy.

Thanks for the video. Do you happen to know anyone selling a stock C5 hood? I'm doing a mild build on a low mileage car and want everything reversible.
@joshc10173 жыл бұрын
Not personally but you should be able to find something from a local salvage yard or a place like AES Corvette Parts. It's fairly common to find folks parting out cars that have been in a wreck, too. Might be able to find a matching color close to you through FB Marketplace, Craig's List, etc.

That'd be the day I'd fuck up my C5 like that! That looks like shit and destroys the resale value. Along with those dumb looking headlights.

can the rain ruin the alternator or other components?
@joshc101711 ай бұрын
If the car sits outside, uncovered, it probably wouldn't be the best thing but driving (racing) it in the rain hasn't caused an issue for me yet. The side vents sit over the wheelhouses, so nothing to damage there. The center vent would allow rain and debris over the the intake, etc. The alternator is still covered as they're positioned on my car.

Poor design by the manufacturer. The 2 side vents are over the inner fender. Not venting much there. Not to mention it's all ugly at best.

@@Ls_corvette oh Kay. I'd rather see a hood scoop that vents from behind.
